My husband and I are still recovering from our wonderful experience with Playa Escondida. Everything was seamless and enjoyable. Thank you Cesar for helping us find a short stay in the Love Nest. Your assistance booking the room made me comfortable from the start. Email correspondence before the trip also helped me remember to book car service (easily) and other...

A beach oasis. Warm, friendly staff, great food, beautiful pool. Slept with windows wide open and could watch the sun set from our bed. Beach lovely but rocks under the surface make it a bit difficult to swim.

Love this place. My second time here. Staff is amazing. They really go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We stayed six days and ate every meal on premise. The restaurant is incredible -- great variety and delicious food at a very reasonable price.

I can't say enough about how much I've loved our stay here. Hubs and I came for our 10th anniversary. We were warmly greeted from the moment we made the reservation. Upon arrival, Kim gave us a tour of the resort and asked if we wanted to pause our tour for lunch. The grounds are unreal: parrots, warm infinity pool,...

This was our second stay here & it was just as peaceful & relaxing as the first stay. We had stayed in Sayulita the first 7 days of our vacation & on a whim found that they had just enough rooms available for our party of 4, for the last 2 days of our trip. We were pleased.

We had a general idea of what this place was going to be like but it far exceeded any expectations we had! Everything about this place is amazing, the rooms, the food, the drinks, the service, the location, the people, the atmosphere, the beach and the pool ... i mean everything is amazing! So much thought and details has gone...

Went for 4 nights to get away from it all after the craziness of Christmas. It was perfect - excellent, food, drinks, room, staff, location etc, Jungle like environment away from it all, but right on the beach. Really enjoyed the yoga in the mornings and the beach bar. Can't wait to return.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days. From the minute we set foot on the property we knew we wanted to come back. The staff genuinely wants to make your day. The rooms are all works of art down to the finest details. So much thought and creativity in everything... the drinks, the food ( shopped for every...

I travel internationally for work, and have stayed in some of the most luxurious resorts on several continents. Playa Escondida, tucked a short walk and shorter golf cart ride, around the corner from charming Sayulita is a gem, and one that I recommend without reservation. Equal parts eco-lodge and luxury hotel, Playa Escondida combines an exceptionally responsive and welcoming staff,...

What a fantastic place! A resort carved out of the jungle with unique and beautiful rooms. A beautiful beach for swimming, sunning, or whale watching, we did see a few! The food is also outstanding, You're also about a 10 minute cab ride from Sayulita, a small Mexican town with some excellent restaurants. The staff is friendly and attentive, and...

“Lovers Nest is perfect for anyone wanting privacy, a breathtaking view, and to get away.”

“The love nest has several coatimundi, lurking about all night & they will come in if you leave any food out. The cenzontle slept 4, but is pretty noisy during the night, a pump of some sort ran all night & traffic traveled often. It has a full kitchen 2 bathrooms & a futon on the lower level. It was fine for the one night we stayed in it. We also stayed in the villa 4, close to beach, the wonderful sound of waves lulled us to sleep. The best room we've stayed in was the Luna Penthouse.”

“If you are sensitive to sound I recommend you book one of the rooms up the hill or one of the bungalows.”

“OK, I have room tips now! For our first trip, we stayed in Bird Canyon, Calandria. This room was too much space for 2 people, unless you plan to cook in your room as it has a fully equipped kitchen. For our recent trip we stayed in Pasion on the beach and Golondrina back in Bird Canyon. The beach was nice, but the swells made the water very loud. The extra large balcony was great! 2 loungers are great for reading and lazing around! Golondrina is my fave of all the rooms we had! The hot tub is a really nice touch! My tips are if you like to sleep in, don't stay in Bird Canyon, the road is load, but we didn't care as we are up early! For peace and quiet, stay away from Bird Canyon.....The food is great at Playa, the staff are amazing, the grounds are beautiful! This is one of the nicest resorts you will find! ”

“Some rooms are quite a ways up from the beach and restaurant, but they provide golf carts so it's fun and doesn't matter!”
