Superb b&b highley recommend this place. Nice rooms great shower good breakfast. In a quiet location, Desmond and his family make you very welcome and are very helpful . We stayed here for 4 nights while working at a local school, it was just a shame that our next job was not as close to here, as we would have...

We had come to stay over for 1 night for a family wedding, down royal house was a fantastic place to stay! And when I come back to Ireland in February with my baby I will 100% be staying here. The owners are friendly and helped us out so much, the rooms were lovely and all round a lovely place...

The kindest thing to say in reviewing Down Royal House is that it is well below even a reasonable standard which is now expected in a guest-house. The allocated room was freezing cold and we decided to leave after an hour. The heat in the room was clearly only put on only when we arrived. The outside temperature was heading...

The shower was really powerful.....really liked that! Breakfast was a full cooked Irish breakfast and was excellent! Dessie was very friendly and helpful. We would...

This place is located outside Belfast but close enough if you are driving (but if you're looking for a few nights on the town it might be a bit too far from Belfast). It's very affordable and comfortable, the food is simple and great. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There's a race course nearby that you can run...

My family and I spent Easter Holidays at this place. Great accommodation and good breakfast. Very clean. The owner is very friendly and ready to help. We also had our dog with us and he was welcome too. It's handy to stay there and visit Belfast.

On booking, I was not told that room 6 was an internal room, with only a skylight. This would not have been a problem if the skylight could have been opened. The room was stuffy, and the fan provided, so noisy that it could not be used. I stayed 2 nights and had to lie on top of the bed,...

“Make sure you get good directions to the local golf club for dinner; it’s only a mile and a half away. I misread them and got totally lost, went to the wrong golf club and finally ended up at McDonalds on the outskirts of Lisburn. Not what I intended.”
