If you go off season be aware that there are few lodging and event fewer restaurant options in small Salema. Our room had wifi which was nice. There was no tv which is not a mandatory requirement for me but it is a nice thing to have. There is a fridge in the room which is good if you are...

A real treat! We had stayed 4 nights in Lisbon, this was a true breath of fresh air. In the center of a small fishing village (with real fishermen), Ocean side bars and Restaurants, no traffic (one road in and out). Lovely room free Wifi and a wonderful Breakfast while looking out to sea. mmm, I want to go back!

This B&B was simply amazing. The breakfast was phenomenal: fresh fruit, meat and cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice. So yummy! I booked room 6. The room was smaller but I was by myself so I had no problems. The view from my room was beautiful! Love that the bed was in a loft. Highly recommend!

We originally thought we'd book into this Salema B&B and use it as a base to travel the Algarve. However, we enjoyed the beach and walks around Salema so much we never left. The hotel is just off the beach, so close to all the action. Breakfast was good, and we'd also recommend the swordfish and the salmon at Restaurante...

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the area; however, no parking at the hotel so one must be aware of dropping off the luggage first and then find a parking spot. The hotel is on a small hill with many stairs depending on your room. The room was okay but seemed dated and not well cleaned in...

We loved staying here. The location is great -- there's lovely hiking around and beautiful secluded beaches in the area. Bettina and her husband are very kind. Breakfast is delicious!! We stayed in room 1 and it was fabulous. We would highly recommend this pension to anyone wanting a calm, clean, and personal experience in Salema.

Comfortable, small room. They had larger rooms but were already taken. Very good breakfast. Good view and comfortable breakfast room. Shared our balcony with another room. A crowd outside our door when their family from other rooms came down to "our balcony" to visit with them. Bettina was warm and helpful at breakfast. Parking is on street. Ease of access...

We stayed here three nights, and had high hopes. We were on a three week tour of Portugal and wanted this to be relaxing part. But the owners here are basically phoning it in. Their check in is a note left telling you where the rooms are located. That is it. You are basically on your own. The breakfast was...

We loved our stay at the Amare! Salema was a beautiful and relaxing fishing town with great atmosphere. The Amare was very clean and hospitable. Bettina provided an amazing breakfast and answered all of our questions. I strongly recommend the amare hotel as well as the town of Salema!

We wented a top floor apartment for a couple of days. Simply furnished and decorated, the apartment had a bedroom, living room, and small kitchen with eating area, plus a deck with table and chairs overlooking (beyond a couple of lower buildings) the town center and beach. Though breakfasts were not included with apartments, they were good, German-style breakfasts. Overall,...
