Decided to travel down through France to get near to skiing resort (Morillon) to beat the Saturday rush. Found hotel Camelia (about an hour from Morillon) via internet. Lovely hotel set in the mountains with interesting rooms full of charm. Had a great meal (not if on a tight budget). The owners are British and 'full of character'. Roger (Mine...

I first stayed in this Hotel some 25 years ago just after Sue and Roger had bought and refurbished it. I was pleased to meet them both again and to find that the hotel was better than it was when it first opened. Sue no longer does the cooking as chef Lee has joined them. Jamie, Garry and Hugh Fernley...

We were a group of four motor cyclists. This hotel suited us fine and in all honesty we had a great stay. The owners and the staff were absolutely great for entertainment, friendliness and helpfulness. The food deserves a mention also.

Myselfe and companion Terry made a surprise visit to the hotel, not having been before. The visit was superb with Roger, Sue and staff making our stay extra special. The food and drink, of which plenty consumed, excellent as was this little bit of England in France. Thankyou.

Where can I start... As having read from other reviews, Sue & Roger (Raving as he is known) have owned the place for at least 25 years, they have made this place into a place that you would like to live in rather than visit. The service that was given from the time we arrived to the time we left...

After a close friend recommended this hotel and its marvelous restaurant I couldn't wait to get out there and see for myself whether is was nearly as good as I'd been told. So, I flew into Geneva, (the closest large airport) Much to my delight the hotel owners Roger (raving Roger as he's know) and his lovely wife Sue took...

My wife's found this place from a friend at work. Sue and Raving Roger (as he's called) are 2 Brits who have owned the place for 25 years. They were very helpful in suggesting things to do and see in the area. Our plane was late so we got in later than we expected so Sue had set aside a...

We were here many years ago and decided to visit again on a trip to Europe. It was wonderful!! The hosts are knowledgeable and friendly. They are always ready to give pointers and advise about activities in the area. They truly make a person feel welcome. The hotel had a few updates that made it even more inviting. The food...

This was the second time that we had stayed at the Camelia Auberge which is nestled in a village at the foot of the French Alps, just close enough to Annecy to allow an easy visit it that beautiful city but far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. Our last visit was some 15 years...
