This was our second stay at Alpenhorn Gasthaus. We would never consider staying anywhere else. The attention to detail is above and beyond. The grounds, landscape and sheep add to the feeling of transporting you to a different era and place. Adrian and Kate are still making constant improvements, even though its hard to find much to improve upon. We...

If you like 'Top Shelf' Eats, Chocolate serendipity, and Host with small town warmth, Alpenhorn should be your destination. Chef Kate and Host Adrian are over the top with friendliness and putting their guest first. Adrian, with his swiss accent, greets you upon arrival, and gives you a tour of the place. I felt like my wife and I were...

My wife and I were looking for an overnight stop to break up a long drive home from a wedding. Hermann, Missouri was about halfway, and finding this delightful B&B online, I decided to surprise my sweetie with a little romance... Adrian set us up with a candlelight picnic in the wine cellar, and I have to say that it...

We booked a stay here based on the TripAdvisor ratings. They did not disappoint! Adrian & Kate were perfect hosts. The breakfast was outstanding and the late evening chocolate and wine by candlelight in the wine cellar was a great way to end the day. The "other" hosts were very friendly too - Marmalade & Pendelton greeted us upon arrival....

If you like B & B's you will love the Alpenhorn. If you generally avoid B & B's you will love the Alpenhorn. My husband and I rarely stay at B & B's because we tend to keep to ourselves. Based on the outstanding reviews we booked four nights in Das Landhaus while riding the Katy Trail and the Alpenhorn...

We stayed for two nights in the larger of the two cottages, Das Landhaus. It was perfect! Adrian and Kate and wonderful hosts. The cottage is rustic and private and perfect for two people. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub is just steps away, as are the sheep who love to be petted and fed....

In addition to the friendly sheep and cats who call Alpenhorn home, this place stands alone as the best B&B in Hermann. I've stayed at approximately a dozen B&B's domestically and internationally. Alpenhorn rates as high as any I've stayed in. The details, design and comfort of our stay could not be better. My wife and I were in Das...

My girlfriend found this gem searching for places in Hermann online. It looks charming on the website so we gave it a shot. This place is so perfect for a romantic weekend get away. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast is worth the price of admission alone. If you stay there you MUST eat dinner there. Their...

LOVED Das Kleine Haus - an adorable little house, small but with plenty of room and SO much personality...quaint, old world, historic, and very cozy and clean. I was continually amazed at Kate and Adrian's thoughtfulness and attention to detail - from delicious truffles and coffee ready with the touch of a button to a flashlight and umbrella if needed....

Recently spent a weekend at this historic B & B. Kate & Adrian are charming hosts and gave the place a nice European feel (Adrian is Swiss). We stayed in Das Landhaus, the larger of the two cottages and found it to be quite comfortable (queen bed) and nicely decorated, The bathroom arrangement is a little strange (saloon doors to...
