We stayed in the Garden House in November and I must say it was yet another great time. We unfortunately had to bring our dogs with us in which the B & B was very accommodating. The owner had told us about a dog park which we did visit quit a few times during our stay. The weather was horrible...

Great stay overnight. Owner knows a great deal of history about the house and the area. He helped us with places to go and eat. Would return in a heartbeat. The bathrooms are shared, but if no one is next-door… You will have a great time here. You all specially enjoy breakfast.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Garden House and Hannibal itself. I have been here 13 years (from Chicago) and still uncover new and interesting facts of our area to share with our guests. Thank you for your sincere comments. Happy travels! Chris

We went to Hannibal for the Fall Festival. The Arts and Crafts booths lined several blocks with wonderful items, not the run of the mill, but unusual and lovely items. An assortment of handmade items, beautifully done, knits, woven items, lovely jewelry, beautiful wooden chairs, lovely dishes and pottery. Food was available and variety of salty and sweet treats. We...

We are glad you had the chance to experience the Garden House and all Hannibal has to offer. B&B's are not Hotel and is someones home they 'share' with the public. Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. Thank you, though, for the great breakfast conversation. From "the well traveled Gentleman who lives on the third floor". Best,...

Hannibal is fraught with very important historical significance. Today it appears to be on the upswing from being slightly run down but with an interesting artist colony. The Garden House was charming and Chris is full of information about the area. He has led a very interesting life and happy to share his experiences. We were sorry his restaurant was...

I have never stayed in such a beautiful hotel - every room is full of period pieces, mixed in with some contemporary artwork. The owner is friendly and very informative about the building's history. Breakfast was delicious - with the first course laid out for us in the dining room with glasses of iced water, orange juice and a large...

Thank you for your kind remarks and observations. The Garden House is one of a kind, representing a great part of our history past, a 1895 Queen Anne Victorian. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be the home's caretaker for the last 13 years to keep the original owners name, Albert Wells Pettibone, alive and well for other...

The owner gave us a great tour and history of the house. Although we shared a bath with another room, it was never a problem. The breakfast was wonderful, great conversation and interesting people. Comfy bed, good air conditioning (it was really sticky outside). Lots of town info given, plus deals on tours and restaurant. Loved it! Very charming! Unique...

Chris and Ari are wonderful hosts! Get Chris talking and you'll learn all kinds of interesting things about Hannibal history. The food is phenomenal; it's plenty to eat and tastes wonderful. This B&B is in a beautiful old house on Hannibal's 19th century "Millionaire's Row", one of the town's historic neighborhoods. It's only a few blocks from the downtown historic and shopping district.
