Had a great Thanksgiving Day brunch with our family group of 12. We have celebrated Thanksgiving Day brunch here for around 15 years and it’s always been a good experience. Our server was Robin and was terrific.
Just completed two back-to-back events (4 days each) at the Old Kinderhook at Camdenton MO and must mention the amazing, hard working and dedicated team that deserve high praise for their commitment to service and guest satisfaction. Throughout our events we saw the same team members going above and beyond and most importantly with a smile and can-do attitude. The Executive Chef Brett and his Sous Chef James, consistently put out delicious meals that our guest raved about. Bar Manager, Jason Shelton, was present at all our dinner and hospitality functions making sure liquor was flowing and people were happy. The Banquets team of Raven Foy, Michelle Swenson, Emma Easter and their support team were quick to make adjustments and pivot to ever evolving changes, and even went as far as purchasing items we felt would better suit our guest needs. The management team of Lance Utley, Jasen Jones and Kris Losure pulled double duty and supplemented wherever additional help was needed. They worked extra long hours being Super Stars! Stephanie McQueen, Christine Williams, Royce Hopkins and Walter Fleming were the friendly faces that greeted our guest sand made sure people knew what additional activities were available in the area. Customer service was number one with this team. Jayce Conklin worked tirelessly setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and Lenin Torres was everywhere keeping meeting spaces clean and in order. I cannot stress enough what a talented team they are at Old Kinderhook as I truly believe success in this industry is how you overcome challenges and make it a positive experience for the guests.…
I've stayed at this resort twice this fall and both stays were comfortable and enjoyable. The room was clean, view over golf course and resort very nice, and meeting accomodations attended to very well by staff. I also appreciate the quiet atmosphere.
The whole property is beautiful and well maintained. The check-in was smooth and easy. The room was good looking from initial entry. Everything worked. The only negative is the vent fan in the bathroom is very very loud and annoying. The few from the balcony of the golf course and surrounding Woods was magnificent. The meals we had were very tasty and a treat for the eye and pallet.
We have held Our Association Convention here the last two years. The Facility is awesome. Nice rooms, Nice Meeting space but more importantly the Staff is very easy to work with and flexible as needed. The food menu is very versatile. BUT will say the BBQ is a great choice.
Old Kinderhook is a really nice facility with an incredibly beautiful golf course. All the employees are very friendly and eager to please. One stand out employee is Micaela who works at the front desk. She went above and beyond to help us with our reservations which became a little complex when trying to accommodate our stay dates and accommodation requests. The Trophy Room restaurant is very nice with a country club type atmosphere with tables spaced far enough apart to allow for pleasant conversation. Two menu standouts were the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Prime Rib French Dip, both were excellent. We also ordered the Trophy Burger on two different days and although the presentation was excellent the meat was dry and overcooked. Our accommodations were as we requested and were clean but not to a 5 star resort rating. The golf course is fabulous and is maintained as a 5 star resort golf course. The vistas are phenomenal especially early in the morning. One side note not relating to Old Kinderhook is my recommendation, while visiting the area, is to have dinner one evening at Bentley’s Restaurant & Pub in Lake Ozark. The prime rib is the best I have ever had in a restaurant and I recommend the 12 oz. Bentley’s Cut.…
My husband and I just got married at Old Kinderhook and it was a wonderful experience! Raven and everyone we worked with was beyond our expectations. I would recommend anyone get married here if they want an easy, breezy wedding day. All the guests commented on how delicious the food was. The balcony off the Hearth Room was also a huge hit. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Trophy Room and the food there was excellent! It was so nice to have guests arrive and were able to stay the whole weekend on the resort because it had everything we needed already there. Thank you to Old Kinderhook for starting off our marriage on a fabulous note!
Don't stay there if you travel with a laptop unless you like being kicked off the internet 5-10 times a hour. The TV in my room and the exercise room also were issues that weren't resolved to my satisfaction. However the view was gorgeous. The golf course is wonderful. Would I stay the again? Yes, just bring a few books and lots of golf balls.
My husband and I had a great experience here! The pool, atmosphere, and service was great! Special shout out to Christine Williams our guest service representative!! She was more than helpful with all and any questions we had. If she didn’t know the answer she’d go out of her way to find it. Loved her personality and if I had a place of business in Camdenton I would try to steal her to work for me!
Had a wonderful weekend getaway with friends enjoying the pool, playing golf and enjoying great food at the Trophy Room. A huge "Thank You" to Jasen Jones for coordinating our rooms on the same floor!
