Family vacation, stayed 4 nights at the Lodge/Hotel with a 6 & 8 year old.

Kids loved the water park, mini golf. We didn’t make it to the Escape Room, but it looked interesting, too. Overall, the water park was great for the kids and us. It only has one slide, but plenty of pool areas, plus a splash park area. It was perfect for us. It was not crowded at all, which was a bonus! The pool area allowed for us to hang out, maybe consume an adult beverage or two, and the kids run free, yet still in sight. The slide was fun for us, too!

Just to set the right expectations, this is not Great Wolf Lodge when it comes to slides and activities, but it’s about 1/3 the price. At $86/night, I’d call this an amazing value. We did add the rise and shine breakfast option for an additional $21/nt. Basically this gave us a $120 credit which paid for all our breakfast. And the breakfast was not a standard hotel bar with powdered eggs and warmed up prepackaged stuff, they had a buffet with REAL food on it. All of it was good and worth the added cost, especially when you factor in the convenience of it being on site.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was average. It was clean, comfortable. Some things could use some normal maintenance and upkeep, but not worth criticizing.

Location was great. Very convenient to the rest of Branson attractions.

This was not at all what we expected, given the price and the advertising. We have stayed in so many resorts, many of which were time shares, and this did not compare.

The room, spacious with a nice kitchenette (including a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop), was sadly not taken care of. It was worn down and falling apart. The bathroom door wouldn't shut, and maintenance told us it would be at least a 5 hour fix (after talking to the front desk they worked with us on this). Also, the carpet was wet in a large area by the kitchen when we checked in - wet enough it stayed wet for over a day.

The pool was ok but nothing to write home about for a "resort." There is 1 slide. It was a fun one.

Activities was basically a big room full of stuff...not clean, stuff just everywhere. The activities staff were nice but did not seem invested in what they were doing- deadpan, slow moving..kind of just there.

They asked repeatedly if we would do the time share presentation, and I wish someone higher up would realize the REAL presentation is in your room and your experience while staying there - and we would NEVER buy into their timeshare given what we experienced.

We would not stay here again.

We love staying here. We owned here for years and have never been disappointed in our stay. We always stay in the condos that is fully furnished, clean, roomy, comfortable and pretty. If we've ever needed anything or if something isn't working right, someone is there no matter what time. Maintenance staff is the best especially when the AC wasn't working right at night and they were on it. The AC guy that came the next day was the kindness, professional and knowledgeable person you could meet. We went during spring break and the resort was busy which we like seeing. The pool area and property is very well kept. The front desk staff is top notch as well as the concierge staff. They are not pushy and very helpful and knowledgeable. Also, we ate breakfast in the restaurant which we don't usually do because I cook a lot, and the breakfast buffet was delicious as well as having a great staff.

Been going to Branson for 35+ years. Made probably 100+ trips.

Although I knew better, we fell for a “too good to be true” package trap and paid dearly. Definitely the worse experience in Branson in years, if not ever, and Welk/Westgate is the cause.

Their promise of no high-pressure sales pitch is a blatant lie as it was more pressure than the Wyndham pitch we heard a few years ago. The guarantee that you’ll be out in 90 minutes? Nope. After two hours, we insisted on leaving but they wouldn’t give us the completion paperwork so we could go. We had to get kinda stern.

Part of their presentation was to “part as friends”, whether you buy or not. It was like flipping a switch when they finally accepted that “no means no.” Salesman literally walked away and rudeness was ramped up. After the presentation with exaggerated numbers and literally a “wait, there’s more!” line, they tried to belittle us and one salesman in the room even “huffed” when I responded to the sales lady that she was not going to make fun of me as she said she was.

And then there’s the rooms we stayed in for two nights. While they show pictures of kitchenettes and 1,2, or 3 bedroom rooms and led us to believe we would have a place to prepare food so we could see what the resort had to offer, we were stuck in a shoebox size room with full/double beds, smaller than Motel 6 but we didn’t have even a working mini-fridge, microwave, and very little toilet paper!

Granted the pool and slide, hot tubs, etc, were nice and they had a good variety of snacks (as long as you were willing to be gouged for a $4 simple s’more. After cancelling our complementary breakfast (kinda understandable), no alternative was offered and we were referred to as “those people”, referring to the booking agent we used.

In summary, the nice landscaping, pool, and activities (at a cost) isn’t even close to enough to make up for the horrific and unprofessional customer service, their deceptions, and outright poor treatment of potential vacation club members (wasn’t even a time share BS).

If you see Welk or Westgate when making vacation plans, just keep scrolling. Definitely not worth the hassle and stress.

Note - looks like they can just rent rooms like any hotel. If so, the rooms are average, small, and almost no amenities. Pool, hot tubs, and slide is pretty cool but activities and snacks are very overpriced.

We decided to take my mom to Branson to get her away for some R&R. My 6 year old wanted to swim so we looked until we found WELK. LOVED the photos of their amazing indoor splashatorium. We booked 2 rooms and drove the 3 hours to stay for 1 night. Upon arrival we checked in and then was told that there were only allowed so many people in the splashatorium and that all reservations were full and that we would not be allowed to swim. This was the whole purpose we chose this place. The facility would not budge and we were forced to go elsewhere. Made a very sad and stressful trip. Would have been nice to have been told this over the phone and we could have made reservations then.

First off, when we got to the hotel it took 15-20 minutes to check in because you had to listen to the “concierge “ try to sell you every show ticket in town for a “great deal.” We stayed on the first floor and as soon as we walked into the room, it reeked like an out house. Come to find out, the first floor had just flooded that day due to a rain storm. The carpet was soaked in certain places In multiple rooms. Also, while trying to sleep the guests above us we’re running laps back and forth their room and it sounded like the roof was coming down. I called the front desk multiple times to see if someone could go upstairs and ask those guest to sleep quite down. Finally Jason said he would send security which did nothing. Those people above us ran non-stop until after midnight. The next day we were walking into the main entrance and there was vomit in front of the door. The splash pad is in a separate building and everything is so expensive. Overall, the experience was terrible compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Branson. There’s a high chance that we will not be back.

Stayed two nights here. Place is nice, although we didn’t spend much time in the hotel nor use many amenities. Probably could have stated somewhere a bit cheaper in hindsight as we were too busy doing other things to use the amenities. Concierge was very helpful in securing us show tickets for a much cheaper price then some places were wanting. I booked our stay through hotels.com and saved a considerable amount of money then I would booking direct.

Restaurant on site but only open for breakfast, buffet style during covid.. no thanks. Air conditioner struggled to work. Besides that eas a nice stay. The waterside (splashatorium) is $5 extra per person.

We are here now and booked specifically for the splash pad. After getting three young children in swimsuits and all excited, we were told that the splash park was “overbooked” and we would not be able to use it even though we were charged for it in our reservations. Front desk is nice but unwilling to remedy the situation. Quite poor communication!! We will NOT make this mistake again!

Our family had two adjoining rooms on the first floor. The rooms are nice and clean. I would highly advise not staying on the first floor close to the laundry facility. It is LOUD! The service at check in was lovely but went downhill quickly. Due to COVID, you have to make reservations to use the pool. Just know this in advance so you can make reservations if you are counting on using. We had an eight year old and three year old and they LOVED the pool and it's amenities. We did enjoy the location of the property as it is in-between Table Rock and the Branson strip. I would return based on the cleanliness, pool and location.
