Our family of 9 rented 5 rooms over Christmas weekend. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Rooms are ok but the bathroom is really small with a separate lavatory in the main space. But the beds were comfy and room had a table with 2 chairs, fridge, microwave and small balcony. No maid service but a daily list of items you can mark as needed and hang on the door handle. Towels, toilet paper etc are set in a plastic bag in front of your door daily. The breakfast buffet is huge and amazing. It varies daily with eggs, sausage, omelets, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, toast, bagels, fruit, waffles, coffee & juices, etc. All self serve on real dinner plates & glass mugs, silverware & cloths napkins. The hotel has a beautiful lobby/sitting area with a player piano and also a third floor gathering area with sofas, chairs, game tables, fireplace and counter area. Our family utilized this area multiple times for games, dirty Santa and socializing. The employees were so friendly and very tolerant with our family gatherings. Indoor pool & hot tub amazing! The hotel is definitely decorated in a Victorian theme that some people may consider dated but we could not have picked a better place to stay. Right in the middle of the strip, discounts for multiple nights and return stays. Highly recommend!

We made our reservations BEFORE we discovered I was to have back surgery a little more than a week before but we decided to come anyway and just take things slower. I'm sure glad we did and I can't imagine a better place we could have chosen to stay! The hotel is right off the interstate and looks EXACTLY like the ad pic. When you walk into the spacious lobby, there are two giant bears waiting to greet you and a friendly smile welcoming you. We passed the dining area on the way to the elevator taking us to our room on the second floor. The room was quite large and had a fairly large Jacuzzi in the corner. The bed was one of those beds that you needed a little stool to climb in to easily and the bedding was clean, crisp, and cooshy! I'm VERY particular about my pillows and these were perfect AND there were plenty of them! We had a desk area to work at and a nice sofa to watch TV from. We spent quite a lot of time in our room due to my still recovering from surgery so, if there had been something wrong with it I would have noticed I promise!! Every morning they serve a full buffet breakfast in the dining room. You can even make your own waffles! Admittedly, we were guests during off season and very cold weather so most of our mornings were relaxed for breakfast. The day before we left, more people had arrived and the dining room was considerably more busy but the staff was constantly refilling the food trays and cleaning the tables off all while smiling and conversing with the guests. They couldn't have done it any better. Every afternoon when we came in there were fresh cookies available also that you could sit and eat with some hot tea or take to your room and snack on later. We did not venture over to the pool area but did see some who had and they appeared to have enjoyed it judging by their smiles. Honestly, I can't think of a bad thing to say and, when I read some of the negative comments, I have to shake my head. When we travel, we don't stay somewhere looking for anything negative so we can feel superior by pointing it out in a less than kind way. We stay somewhere expecting to enjoy ourselves. If something needs to be brought to the attention of the management, it can usually be done in a tasteful way. We found nothing that made that necessary at the Grand Victorian! We've stayed in hotels, motels, B&B's, cabins, even castles. From ultra luxurious to cozy and comfortable and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were ever in Branson!! Easy to get to anywhere you need to go, by the way, but by car would be best!!

The moment we walked in the place it looked charming and very clean. The girl who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was nicely appointed and spotless. Micro, Fridge, Iron Coffee, tea . And for those who always wonder about water pressure , air and space we were happy with it all everything worked fine. The location was in the heart of town with plenty of parking and places nearby to shop and eat in fact grocery store was right across the street and a discount outlet was just feet away. The girl Jeanetta was a big help with every concern we had. She even helped get tickets for 2 shows at a nice discount. Be careful of the Tourist Centers they have big show discounts but you have to go to a Timeshare and listen to a pushy sales pitch. Sorry not for me , not wasting my time to save on tickets. Also a shout out to Cindy who was also a wonderful helper and sadly I missed a women's name who helped print my travel pass! Great staff!! Nice simple breakfast included,a small workout room and 2 pools in and outdoor. I think you get the picture.

It was ok. Our room was clean but we were close to the pool and our room smelled like Chlorine and it felt damp. It was so damp that when I put on my jeans the first morning that were sitting on the chair, they were damp. The staff most of the time seemed irritated to do anything. The person serving breakfast was exceptionally grumpy. The workout room was small and crowded and didn't have any cleaning wipes to wipe off the equipment when someone was finished using it. When I told the person at the front desk that they should probably get some cleaning wipes he seemed annoyed that I would even suggest it.

Had trouble booking on line for the discount but called and they took care of my reservation and gave me the discount. Checked in about an hour early with no problem. Front desk clerk was helpful and friendly, and moved us to the 5th floor upon our request with no oroblen. Automatic doors at both main entries would be a big plus. Room was clean and smelled good. Appreciated having fridge and microwave. Room #526 had a comfortable bed and was in a good location. There was a piece of protective corner molding loose at the bottom that needed to be tacked back on before it gets ripped off. Our heat and air unit would begin to rattle after running a bit, probably an easy repair to a noisy problem. Yes the shower/potty are is a little small but was clean. Sink and makeup area was separate so that helped alot. Had nice full length mirror as well. The soap was aweful, just one of those little things I think makes the difference between good and great. Breakfast had its positives but there is alot of room for improvements! There needs to be a microwave accessible in dining area, especially for instant oatmeal and to heat pastries and such. Love oatmeal but just hot water isn't enough to actually cook it. Eggs and sausage was below standard. Precooked sausages, both links and patties, just heated and had not been browned at all. Would prefer yogurt in cups not in bulk. Gravy was lumpy, again a simple fix with some training. Donuts were a nice addition as well as raisin bread.I think the kitchen staff just needs training on higher standards instead of just getting the food out there. I thought seating and atmosphere was nice. Loved the older gentleman that was bussing tables the first morning, he made the experience special instead of just a hotel breakfast. Missed him New Years day! Decorations were great, made the stay special. To sum it up, would we stay again? Definitely. But to present the "Grand Victorian" as a place to choose over Best Western, Super8, or Holiday Inn, it needs to step up the fine details.

Thank you very much for staying with us and taking the time to share your comments and opinion on your recent stay. We are pleased you enjoyed your comfortable room and bed, we get many fine comments on them. Our room soaps and shampoo is of a high quality . Certainly equal or better than a Holiday Inn or Best Western . We have owned and operated about a dozen of them , so I am familiar with their standards. We appreciate you sharing your comment though. I will share your comments on our breakfast with our cooks. We offer one of the most comprehensive hot buffet breakfasts in town. Quite frankly we get many excellent reviews on it. We are not a restaurant so we warm and cook our items in a convection over like everyone else in town. Thank you very much fro your great comments on our decorations. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to serving you again. Hospitably Steve

My wife and reserved three nights at the Grand Victorian in Branson, Mo. for a weekend getaway. Booked through Booking.com. When we arrived we noticed a slight musty smell and the floors we dirty. I asked for a broom to sweep the floors and the front desk told me they would take care of the problem, they never did. We also found of spot of what appeared to be blood on the bedding. The hotel is dated and not a good value for the money. We will not stay there again.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments on your recent stay. We are very surprised by your comments and I can assure you we have addressed them so they do not occur again. I can assure there were no bloodspots on the bedding or they would have been replaced immediately. Our hotel is dated by design and we have spent over one and half million dollars updating it in the last 3-4 years. So we are one of best values in town and have one of the nicest facilities on the strip. Thank you for staying with us . Hospitably Steve

My wife and I went to a timeshare presentation with Wyndham and they put us up for three days and nights in the hotel grand Victorian in Branson Missouri. We actually stayed two additional nights so we could attend the youth competition for bluegrass bands at Silverdollar city on Saturday of memorial day weekend, so we spent a total of five nights in the Victorian.

I checked the reviews of this hotel shortly after getting confirmation that this would be the place we would be staying and discovered they were generally mid range at around three stars. So I wasn’t expecting anything particularly great and was therefore pleasantly surprised at the general quality and condition of the hotel and the room that we were in.

I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to cleanliness and the first thing I generally look at is the condition of the carpet in the common areas before I even get to the room. Many times you’ll find these areas aren’t kept as clean or vacuumed as often as They should be. Such as not the case with the Victorian as the hallway carpets were immaculately clean. That cleanliness extended to our room on the fifth floor.

We had a room that faced the main street that included amenities like a mini fridge and microwave and also had a balcony with a couple chairs. All the furniture and bedding were in excellent condition and I was looking for something to nitpick but really couldn’t find anything. I suppose the only thing might be the fact that housekeeping is no longer provided except upon request, but that is just about the case everywhere nowadays.

One nice thing that was included with the room was a pretty decent morning hot breakfast buffet that was well-maintained by a couple of local older fellows which was a good thing considering the number of folks partaking of breakfast every day. It could’ve easily been picked over and left relatively unappealing had these two fellas not kept up with cleaning tables and restocking the food items which included things like eggs and sausage fruits and just about anything else that you typically would find on a breakfast buffet at any mid to upscale hotel

I’m not sure when my wife and I will be returning to Branson, but when we do we more than likely will be staying at the hotel grand Victorian.

Not as grand as it appears. 1st floor is very outdated and the carpet in the room was filthy. Price is too high for the quality of the building. Take and heat breakfast is the exact same food everyday. After we paid we were told “no housekeeping in the rooms” due to the virus, yep, clean your own room, take out your trash, chase down housekeepers-or go to the front desk everyday for clean towels and coffee. I don’t have a problem cleaning up after myself but proper management could meet customers half way on this problem.

Fresh coffee is available in the lobby as always on a 24 hour a day basis. We apologize and are sorry if you were not pleased with our limited service due to the Covid 19 restrictions. Our room was clean and very nice - nice and cool when we arrived. I like that our room had a small balcony. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is super tiny. Housekeeping did not come into the room during our stay (COVID precautions) so we were asked to put towels and trash outside of the door and to pick up any lines/towels that might be needed at the front desk. This was not a problem for us (I am glad they are still being cautious). Breakfast was just ok -typical free hotel breakfast. We did not use the pools, but the outside pool looked nice and clean. There is a Denny's right beside this hotel and a Krispy Kreme beside that.

We spent two nights here while visiting Branson. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The pricing was a great value. The breakfast selection was okay…nothing special. There is no maid service, and if you want clean towels or more toiletries, you have to notify them by 10 am and they will leave them outside your room. That was really strange, but all in all it was an okay stay.
