Warm and welcoming. Very nice service, comfortable spacious clean rooms with character. Excellent breakfasts, southern style and with a range of tasty items to suit most palates. Great soundproofing: one night there was a big professional party, another a wedding. I barely heard a thing.

We recently stayed at this small boutique hotel and had a wonderful time. The staff was gracious, the parking was reserved and the location was central to downtown events. Our room was actually a small suite which was elegantly appointed with many extras including robes, and a turn-down service with mints on our pillows. The gathering areas were lovely, including...

In town for business and asked my wife to come with. This is boutique hotel with only 24 suites, but good size rooms, large tubs, towel warmer, large shower, breakfast and close to Eudora Welty museum. The bed was comfortable, but small beds. I'm used to large king size beds at hotels. I'd like to know the history of the...

Fabulous food for brunch, lunch, or wedding venue. They treat you like family. The owner browses through the dining room regularly to ask guests if they need anything. Best wedding venue ever! Beautiful setting with delicious food, plus you can spend the night in the Inn. Always a personal and delightful experience. The BEST!

We were looking for a hotel near the Capitol and stumbled across The Old Capitol Inn. What a lucky find for us! The staff was very friendly and the hotel was wonderful. The doors leading into the lobby off State Street are gorgeous and set the stage for the rest of the hotel. Our room was quite large with a...

My wife and I stayed here on our 29th anniversary road trip. We lived the hotel! It is quaint and full of history and charm. The staff was outstanding and upgraded us to a suite! We checked in late and left rather early, but our stay was perfect! I even bought an umbrella with the logo as a souvenir! Stay...

On December 29, 2016, my husband and I stayed at the old capitol inn for our honeymoon. The room was fabulous. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom appeared luxurious. After an exhausting and exciting night we immediately went to bed. In the morning we were looking forward to having a relaxing bubble bath. Imagine our shock when we turned...

I was looking for a boutique hotel to stay in and this is the only one around and it was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was so cute and updated. There was a little balcony I could go out on in my room. I went out for dinner and came back to turn down service...

The room was large and very nice. Has a separate sitting area with a television and desk that's very nice. The shower is HUGE not to mention the big, antique, iron four poster bed. Breakfast is complimentary and very good. Real food...biscuits, bacon, scrambled eggs, grits, pastries, fruit, all delicious. The staff is super friendly. There's a beautiful garden outside...

A traditional stop for us on our Christmas junket to our son and family. Beautiful Christmas decor, great front desk service, large comfortable rooms, easy handicap parking and elevator, great hot breakfast with newspaper, great downtown location. Closed on day after Christmas. Returning Patrons may get better rates. Recommend getting directions to iron horse grill. Ask for upper floor and...

“The small room we had was their least expensive, which, in our opinion, was still on the high side. The courtyard view is good.”
