This is our third time tagging along with my husband for overnight business trips here. The staff is wonderful! This time, almost everything is open, and we are even happier than usual. The double queen room is well arranged, so that there is space to actually move around.I love that the dresser is built under the desk, so that there is space for a bigger desk!

Did I mention the saltwater pool? Our teenage son is very fond of it, and I love relaxing in the sun there. The fire pit area is simply awesome, and the bistro is on our list to try this time!

I, myself, am an ocean lover; being able to simply cross the street to get to the beach makes my heart sing!

Lana and Charlie (sp?) at the front desk are always so gracious to help us any way they can. Keith was working on the pool area, and we had a nice conversation as he worked. There is a sweet older gentleman whom I believe does maintenance who always has a warm smile and welcomes us when we return!

Long story short, this nice, comfy, wonderfully located hotel has definitely won our loyalty!

The Courtyard Marriott was the host hotel for my nieces wedding this past June 2019. They were so very accommodating and the staff was super amazing. The accommodations and pricing offered was very reasonable and the sales department assisted with the preparations for her beachfront ceremony. I would definitely recommend this property to others for special events and accommodations.

Great find in unexpectedly favourable Gulfport, which we really enjoyed

Nice room with beach view, easy walking to nearby restaurants and bars and even into Gulfport old town

Mississippi Aquarium is also walkable and was an excellent place to visit

We were not expecting to stay in Gulfport and the unexpected find of the Courtyard Marriott was an added bonus. We booked as we drove past. We did not have any expectation of what to find in Gulfport, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our coast to coast USA trip

Good staff, nice room, great location

All boxes ticked at Courtyard Marriott Gulfport

Worst Marriott Courtyard I have ever stayed at, and I have been platinum member for 7 years now. There was mold all over the shower curtain, the carpet was all wet next to the bed, there was hair in the tub, there were stains on the towels and wall in the bathroom. We got in at almost 10pm, and they told us the hotel was completely full so they could not move us to a different room.... and they offered to have someone come clean it again... but after driving 12 hours and being exhausted, waiting for someone to clean a room would be ridiculous. Not to mention, how do they clean wet carpets and mold covered shower curtains. Right now, amidst the COVID 19 concerns, so much for extra cleaning precautions at this hotel!
Stay away is all I can say. Apparently capacity and paying guests trumps cleaning and safety.

Apparently if your property has a view of the beach you don’t think you need to do anything else for your guests. Arrived at 2:00 pm for a 3:00 pm checkin. Advised nothing was available yet so we said we would sit in the (spacious and nice) lobby area and wait. Asked again at 3:00, still no room, they “forgot” we were waiting. Finally got a room at 3:30 after complaining. Only one of two room keys worked. No bath mat for the shower. Lukewarm shower, never really hot water. No cups for the coffee maker. No luggage rack to put a suitcase on. Minimal toiletries (conditioning shampoo only, no shampoo and conditioner and no lotion). Can’t even guess when the last time they vacuumed the stairs might have been (and we were taking the stairs because one elevator was down and the other one wasn’t working too well). Sidewalk to the parking lot full of oak leaves were never swept in three days we were there (rolling roller bags through crunched up leaves). Will look elsewhere next time we come to town. Have stayed in many Courtyards and this one did not measure up.

Great location but trash and pills under the beds. Hair and dirt on bed skirt! The hotel is in general disrepair. We thought it had been flooded by the hurricane but just drying fans everywhere and not hit by hurricane. No breakfast, cook didn't show. Trash in driveway area. So disappointed when we paid like $300 per night!

We didn't have hot water in both the shower and sink.....told the front desk and he told me I should have told him earlier in the day so they could fix it but I could switch rooms......which I did but he couldn't give us any credits due to his not being a manager. The next morning we were told we would get some Marriott points for our inconvenience and never received anything. Breakfast was almost $20 a person with tip and they were out of eggs....we told them and they made six more eggs and still had another hour of serving time. Bathroom by the pool was filthy and trash can was over flowing, two air purifiers on the 5th floor hallway that we had to walk around to get to room. Was told they are not a Marriott owned property. The location was good but you have to walk across a busy street to get to the beach and it is $40 a day to rent a chair. I was disappoint4ed and will look at other hotels before staying here again while visiting Biloxi or Gulfport.

I'm sure this used to be a nice hotel. Not so much anymore.

Our room wasn't clean when we checked in. Floors were dirty and trash in cans. We asked them to clean it the next morning, and thought it would be a priority, but they didn't clean it that day either. We asked them several times throughout the day, and they said they would get to it, but did not. By the third afternoon, it was still not cleaned, and I went and talked to the front desk again. I wish I had caught his name, but this person was very helpful, and someone went to our room almost immediately and cleaned it. I don't think the floor was vacuumed, but the bathroom floor was cleaned, the toilet and shower were cleaned, and we felt much better about it. However, it shouldn't have taken 3 days. And someone should vacuum the floor. Also, the pool wasn't working, which we weren't aware of, and that was most of the reason my 2-year old came with us. That info should be on the website. In addition, the laundry was also broken, which was also frustrating, since we really needed to wash our clothes, and it's hard to go to a laundromat with a 2-year old. This was probably the second worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I have stayed in a LOT of hotels. I hope things change. I will likely come on more work trips to Gulfport, but unless things change drastically, I would not stay in this hotel again, or recommend it to any of my colleagues. By the way, from what I heard from my colleagues, they would also not recommend the hotel to anyone either. One good thing: the conference room was nice. The sound was good, the chairs were comfortable, coffee and drinks were always available, very nice. 9.5 of 10 on that.

AWESOME PRICE considering it is right across the street from the beach. Very quiet but busy. Very clean and well staffed. The swimming pool is Olympic size with warm comfortable water. Breakfast is not complimentary but is still available if you want a hot breakfast in the morning.

We even complained to Marriott and still got nowhere! We asked for Gulf view room and we got the view of the back parking lot. There is no counter in the bathroom. Just a sink next to the toilet with tub and shower. It was a huge disappointment and asked for another room, but we were told the place was full. We had no one come clean each day or bring new towels. When we called the front desk for anything, they said we could come to the front desk and get it. Nobody even seemed to want to talk to us. We were told that the room was cleaned before we came and after we checked out and that was due to COVID! But signs were posted everywhere that the hotel was cleaned more often because of the virus! Not true! We will not be going back to this place or Marriott again!

Just so you know, I think this is a very average Courtyard. They have the location, so they never have invested back into this property. For what it is worth, I'd stay at one of the casinos. Regarding your question, I think you should call the hotel directly. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

How hard is it to get across the highway to the beach?
Answer from CourtyardB
Gulfport, Mississippi
We are on the North side of Hwy 90, which at times does have a fair amount of traffic. If you look at some of the pictures online facing the West to the beach from the hotel you can see that there is a traffic light just one block to the right of us that has a cross walk.
