Hotel's Favourite
Clean as can be. Very comfortable beds with great pillows. Television a bit small but adequate with a good selection of channels. Bathroom was spotless with plenty of fluffy towels and amenities. Best part, we worked with desk clerk Jasmaine who was wonderful and took care of everything for us like a true pro!

My family (and several other families) stayed here for a youth ball tournament over the weekend. Check in was quick and easy and even got early check in. The front desk clerks were very helpful and generally seemed happy to help with any of our requests. Our room was clean and we had plenty of extra towels brought to us when we requested. This hotel is close to several restaurants and shopping centers. Gulf Island Waterpark and the Gulfport Sportsplex were less than 2 miles away. Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel for your Gulf Coast stay.

We had a nice stay here because of the employees! They are a treasure. The hotel itself seems like it went through an upgrade but could use carpet cleaning and a few touch-ups here and there that you would think...wouldn't be that hard. This hotel has the capacity to be better but it is priced fairly nice for the stay. Other than that, the bath was clean and room was decent...we could stay here again.

Checked in the late evening on 12/24/2020 for a two nights stay. Walked out within 30-45 minutes. Floors in room were unvacuumed, stained, and unclean. There were stained walls and some sort of white leaky substance that had dried on the wall. The bed covering, although dark brown in color, was covered with very very noticeable and very very visible circular stains of who knows what. I am aware of the so-called 'good reviews' they have and the higher ratings than some other hotels, but those reviews are mostly from over a year ago. Covid was the least of my concern as to what I may catch if I stayed here. To their defense, I was offered a second room but two different key cards would not open the door. I was then offered a third room where the desk clerk actually came up with me and 'knocked on the door' before trying the card himself. That was 'really strange'. Guess they don't know who/what is in their rooms. This room had two beds which were also not what my purchase agreement was. Now nearing midnight, I informed the clerk that after failing to meet our agreed reservations, we were leaving. He responded, "Okay sir." In a matter of munutes, we come down to front desk, no clerk in sight. We put keys on front desk and leave. All their cameras can prove the actions I speak of are accurate. I took my business to another hotel and it was fantastic. The next day I retruned home and contacted the third party I booked through and on several different occassions they attempted to get me a refund from this hotel but were denied. On one phone call, the third party spoke to the hotel and the hotel actually informed them I was still there, when in reality I was in another state! However, I contacted Choice Hotels, the parent company of this hotel and they did give me much better customer service when I brought my complaint and grieveinces to them. Sleep Inn and Suites Gulfport lost a customer and future customers as I am sure to let everyone know about this place. I give this place a zero for cleanliness as well as customer service because you can't give less.

I booked this hotel using a third party company for one night on my way across country and when I arrived they told me my room was sold that the payment I gave them wasn’t accepted. However they failed to communicate cancellation of my room. There wasn’t a supervisor and the hotel clerk was less than understanding.

Very displeased with our stay. Especially Kristina who says she is the general manager of that site. She was extremely rude, unprofessional and aggressive not only to myself but ALL 5 of the other people I was traveling with, all of which were staying there. We asked to check in early and she pointed to the sign that states check in is at 4pm and very rudely says the sign says 4pm, I was trying to clean rooms until I had to come down here to talk to you. We actually argued about hotel protocol. I can't stress enough how rude she was not only in her words but whole body language, facial expressions, tone of voice and inflections. There is more but running out
Once we got to our room it smelled like marijuana and body odor. Several items were broke in the room. Had to go to truck for something there were at least 30 people in the lobby hanging out and loud. There were children running everywhere. Oh and some people frying food in a large fryer in the parking lot with people everywhere. This all went on for several hours. I was very uncomfortable.

I booked this room and paid for my room through the Choice Hotels App. I arrived early and was told check in was at 4:00 and was refused being able to check in. When I did check in later, my debit card was charged the $100 deposit and a room fee even though I had already paid. Another employee was called over to give me a refund on my original reservation. I was told it would be 3 to 5 business days for my refund to be on that card. A few hours after checking in, the card I used to make the reservation was charged again. I paid for my room three times and was told if my refunds don’t show up I need to call my card company because they might be holding it. I will NEVER stay at a Sleep Inn again.

I'm at work the morning I checked out, and I get a missed a call at 8:15 from the hotel. I then missed a call from an employees personal cell phone at 8:20 am. I called the cell phone number back and I'm told immediately upon answering that I haven't paid for the night and if I don't pay I'm going to be banned. Rude. Not only is it not my fault the girl checking me in didn't authorize my card, I was in no way evading payment. I was told that they had been calling me all last night after I had checked in, and this morning. I never received a call to the room. She also stated that they knocked on the door numerous times and tried to enter but it was "locked". I left the hotel at 6:30 am. I do recall what sounded like someone trying to enter the room. Which is crazy. So, I don't receive any calls to the room. You didn't attempt to call my cell phone until after 8am - so you were just going to bust in and tell me I hadn't paid and get out? Even though the payment has gone through? I never received a call until the calls at 8am. So, I tell the woman I'm speaking to that my online banking app is clearly showing that I was charged. She says that is probably because she tried to run it, but it hasn't been charged and she doesn't see any charges. Huh? That makes no sense. I tell her I'm going to call my bank. I call the bank, they say it was charged at 5:48am and then attempted to charge an additional 9 times after that. I asked to speak with a manager, but I was told that the person I was speaking to was the only person available for the day.
I've stayed at this hotel a few times. It's always been pleasant, clean, and well taken care of - and at a decent price. However, this was completely uncalled for and could have been handled so much better. Mistakes happen. However, due to this incident, I won't return here.

I don’t expect much when it comes to hotel breakfast, but what I experienced was just unacceptable. There were 3 pans on the counter for breakfast items. One was empty and not being used at all, another pan was scrambled eggs, and in another pan was sausage. There was no sausage left and I had to wait for some more to come out. While waiting , I figured I would at least get my kids started eating and went to fix them a waffle. The waffle mix in the machine was empty. No forks. Only 2 apples left. No milk to go with the Froot Loops. Finally when the kitchen attendant came out from hiding, he only brought about 8 sausage patties out which were gone right away with everyone waiting for them. I told him about the waffle mix being out and he didn’t smile or even respond. He just walked away. So I wasn’t even sure if he was going to come out with some more or not. We went back to our room for a little before checking out and the same guy working the kitchen was the one behind the desk. They may have been short staffed, but no need to be a grinch!

The place appeared clean from the outside. The room, however was made up, but the chair by the window was filthy, and a used towel was hanging on the bathroom door. The toilet and the shower had not been cleaned. Perhaps they gave us the room in error! Internet was fine, but there were No Electrical Outlets were readily available near the desk. I had to use my laptop and charge my phone at the bed. Even there this room 212, was not electronics user-friendly. I've never seen no outlets at or by the desk and no lamp at the desk.
Breakfast was tasty with scrambled eggs and sausage, but the cranberry juice was watered down and the dispenser nozzle for the apple juice was missing. There were no grits or oatmeal options, no yogurt. Things we always get at Choice hotels.
