I have been a clerk at a Hotel at home, So, I have a different perspective than many. Expectations for most people, are they want a 4 star hotel, for the Motel 6 price. This Motel is an older one, well used, so it won't be new and shiny. I've slept in much worse, and I have stayed in a few better. The Breakfast was good, fresh, ample amounts of Scrambled eggs, Sausage, pretty good coffee, bagels, cereal, waffle makers and batter, fruit, and breads. Rooms are well used, but clean considering their usage. The Staff was nice to us, and it started with us being nice to them too. People respond to you in kind. Try it. We got a double queen room, it had a microwave, a fridge, a small single cup coffee maker, an ironing board and iron in the closet. a clean bathroom. It had a desk with a chair, a TV, a couch, and coffee table. the A/C worked well, we were cold, and slept well. No mattress is like mine at home, so I am never happy at any motel, ANY, but this one was okay, average for the price range I'd say. The pillows are the mushy kind, so take your own if you are like us, older, bad backs and necks, and want your home comforts away. The tub could use some anti slip stickers, but, it did have a safety bar to hang onto. All in all, it was a good experience. Take into consideration I am a Marine, and I can sleep anywhere, but do not mean that as a knock on them, just I am different than you. Not picky. There is a Flying J truck stop nearby and a Denny's and Wendy's all just around the corner. We were just visiting for a couple of days, from up state. I saw people with pets there. children, no issues or problems. A quiet stay. We'd stay there again.

We evacuated for Hurricane Ida with our dog. This was the closest hotel that was pet friendly. They charged a $20 per day pet fee. The lobby was about 80 degrees and musty. The front desk staff were nice and friendly (only nice thing about this place). The room was dank and had an additional dehumidifier (which pulled 1/2 gallon of water daily). One morning I got out of bed and step on a chicken bone. We wore our socks for fear of the filthy carpeting. The breakfast was vending machine pastries and one waffle iron. We stayed for 3 days for lack of other options. I am generously giving them 2 out of 5 stars for the pet policy and front desk staff that checked us in.

I reserved a room with a handicapped accessible toilet. I even telephoned the property and asked if they had handicapped accessible rooms and was there an available. When we showed up, the room had NO handicapped features in the bathroom. No chair-height toilet. No grab bars for the toilet. No grab bars for getting in and out of the tub.
In addition, one of the lamps was missing a bulb. The socket was empty! When I reached for a hand towel, the towel rod fell out. The toilet was not fastened down. I rocked when I sat on it. I tried to call the desk and the room phone had only static on the line. The breakfast was okay, but the had no decaf coffee, and the hot breakfast bacon was almost raw.
When I checked out, I asked the room clerk why she thought the room was handicapped and she said "That room is not for handicapped." The clerk that checked us it, had no training in which rooms were for handicapped.

I would not recommend this hotel to my enemies. Upon check-in, we found our room door open. The smell in the room was overpowering and what looked like some type of cleaner was left on the furniture. There was a previous guest's food in the microwave. The room had not been vacuumed. Repairs made to a bathroom wall were poorly done. The carpet on the stairs near the elevator was filthy. Both the side and back doors to the outside were propped open all night. The screenless window at the end of the hall by our room was left open the whole time we were there. When we went down to get a luggage cart the next morning (the apparent only one was not available), the front desk clerk was leaned back in her chair asleep at the desk. Needless to say, we didn't stick around for breakfast. The only positive is that the staff at the front desk were polite although they didn't all seem fully trained. Complaints to corporate only resulted in offers of points for future stays at one of their locations and saying that the complaint would go in the hotel's permanent record. They refused to say that they would actually address the issues. Based on this experience, we are seriously considering switching hotel chains.

Our family was traveling to Virginia from Texas for my daughter's wedding when my truck's transmission went out. We pulled in to the hotel only to find out they were booked. I explained our situation and asked if there was another hotel close by for us to stay the night. This being right after hurricane Zeta had just came through the day before. The young lady in the front found us a room for the night. The hotel had a lot of linemen staying there. The next morning we asked if we could leave the truck there and the manager immediately sent out a mass message to her staff to let them know or situation and to watch out for our truck. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality through this stressful situation. The room was great as well!

Stopped for quick overnight on the way to Mobile. Excellent price and everything in the room worked so no complaints. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding.....just what you expect from a Comfort Inn. Due to Covid they breakfast was just coffee, juice and prepackaged pastry....just like most of the other CI and Quality Inns I have stayed over the last month. I did thing the price was excellent being so close to the beach type area.

No safety at all with back door propped open at midnight. Whole hotel full of moisture. Room 212 was full of mold and mildew and rust. You could smell it as soon as the door opened. Management refused to refund when I told them it was a health issue and I could not stay where mold and mildew was.
Corporate said I shouldn't have an issue with a refund from hotel but manager refused and night clerk said she had already got into trouble for refunding the day before when people refused to stay.

Another from our group chose to stay and got sick after eating breakfast. Save yourself the issues and stay somewhere else

What I expected for the price and an older hotel. I didn’t take pictures but there were lots of cobwebs on the ceiling above our bed. Pool was nice, but water was pretty cold. Not docking them for that, but just FYI if you’re considering this hotel for that reason. Check in/out was easily and both attendants were friendly. Breakfast had hot options - waffles, sausage/eggs, and the usual spread. Great location - Gulf beach and Mississippi Aquarium nearby.

On 5he positive, the staff was friendly. The hotel was dirty , carpets stained in both hallways and rooms. Security door to the back was broke and did not secure.
Room smelled mildew,. Breakfast was horrible, no fruit , no hot tea , no juice
Had waffles you cook or packaged sweets. Broke ice machines on 2nd and 3rd floors . disgusting stain on sofa, would not sit on it!
I have stayed in a lot of Comfort Suites, not sure why they would let this property keep the name!

The room seemed clean enough, but was very musty smelling with an undertone of cigarette smoke. The mattress was uncomfortable. The pillow on the bed was tiny and extremely lumpy. I had to put a stack of towels under the pillow to raise it up. Neither my husband or I got much sleep. In fact, we got up and checked out much earlier than we had planned and headed home so we could get come sleep. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

We looked at rooms and suites as we were using the hotel for a training class and had people coming into town. They were recently updated (ask for one when you make the reservation as I think some were being done so not sure if all are updated) and well appointed. The lobby area was very nice and well maintained. Overall a very nice hotel that was close to everything yet was not over priced. Hope this helps
