Had an overnight stay for an early flight out of Gulfport. You can literally walk across the street to the airport. This Residence Inn was the first Marriott property I have stayed with a cleanliness integrity sticker on the door!
The evening front desk staff, she transferred with the fabulous general manger, was friendly and had willing to assist any way needed attitude.
The manager, Mrs Stacey, is equally fabulous stopping to engage in a conversation. Mrs Stacey recommended the Rack House as a gluten-free option and it was one of the best dinners I have had in years.
The rooms are terrific, new furniture and style with great functionality. I really like the rotating top for the television and the couch is actually comfortable and functional.
I have my new overnight destination for early morning flights out of GPT!

I’m active duty military. Donna Brooks, don and Stacy in management as well as all the ladies at the front desk are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The cleaning crew and breakfast crew are always making sure that my hotel stay is very pleasant and enjoyable. When I stay in Gulfport. The Residence Inn is always my first choice. They treat me as part of their family.

Excellent stay at this establishment for military training. Government rate was accepted and I was happy to find out that a kitchenette was in the room. My request for a room on the fifth floor was granted. During my stay, Hurricane Zeta happened. Hotel staff literally worked around the clock to make sure guests were taken care of, generators were in place for power, and also took the time to make sure the guests were entertained. Honestly, the hotel made the hurricane fun as well as my entire stay. My room stayed clean thanks to incredible housekeeping staff, which was above and beyond. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Gulfport, but the hotel staff with its family-like feel made the trip worth it. Of note, the reason I chose to stay here was from another service member that had the exact same experience and share it with me. A shout out goes to the fine people that make breakfast. They are very nice and make a terrific breakfast! It is very evident that the leadership at this hotel run a great operation!!! Thank you!

We called an hour before arriving at 11p. There were no carts and no one offered to assist us carry any of the 4 bags while holding a sleeping toddler and 6 year old. They also did not give us sheets for the rollout bed that we told them we’d be using and they had no pillows we could use. The next morning we found used soap and shampoo in our shower. When we asked for it to be cleaned we got explained how the discoloration comes from the water...? Another customer complained of dirty towels and were upgraded a different room. Housekeeping and kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. Front desk staff was surprisingly not hospitable and bad problem solvers. The place has become run down. Broken doors and lights out, pool uncleanly and chairs in main lobby stained and dirty from use. When we asked about why the pool was so filthy and murky they told us the pool didn’t open for another 2 hours. There were no signs giving pool times and no lock on the gate. The lock to the pool was left unlocked for several days after a party was had on a Sunday night where cars of men showed up and started drinking to the point of falling down. Us and another family talked about how it worried us to have children around that kind of atmosphere and had to take our kids away. We were told they are allowed to do that. After talking to staff, it sounds like this is what to expect. And when the manager finally was on site, she said this was the standard for Marriott.

Thank you for sharing your review of the Residence Inn. Our particular property is not a full service property, therefore, we do not have a full staff that late in the evening to have assisted you and your family in bringing your luggage in. Due to Covid-19, we had removed all sleeper sofa linen from guest rooms and are in the process of putting them back. Additional linen and housekeeping services are all available upon request. We do apologize this was not communicated to you. We do have designated pool times so that it gives our employees a chance to clean and properly treat the pool area prior to use for the day. The property does has a outdoor grill and pool area that is available for all guest use and our employees ensure the safety and well being of all of our guests by regularly monitoring both areas to ensure all guests are following our rules.

As an Active duty service member that had just moved from California and looking to buy a home during this crazy market, I found myself hotel hopping and spending a lot of money. Marriott Residence inn was the fourth hotel I had stayed at, and by far the best! My closing date on my house took two extra weeks, but thankfully staying here, made it not as bad. The room provided was amazing. Affordable clean room with a full sized fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The best part of the experience was the friendly staff. Lawrence and Stephanie were awesome, as well as the cleaning staff, maintenance staff, and breakfast staff. True southern hospitality. Thank you so much!

I was just here for one night. It was a lot more expensive than many nicer hotels I have stayed in. The first thing I noticed was a bunch of staining on the couch. I was traveling with a pet, which I paid $100 non refundable deposit for so I took photos and showed it to the person at the front desk. I did not want to be charged for this. In her defense, she was very nice and asked me if I wanted to change rooms. I declined because this room was at the end of the hallway , and the dogs occasionally bark when people walk by so I figured this was the least traveled area, and I was thinking more of the other guests at the hotel. I did not feel comfortable sitting on the couch because of this. I specifically rented this room because it is a suite with two separate rooms, but I felt like I could only sit at the desk. I went down to the lobby at 730 AM to refill my coffee. There was no coffee, so I waited 5 to 10 minutes and then just decided to go back upstairs. This hotel is just OK. I would not go back.

Very nice and clean hotel. I stayed here for a few months. The staff were personable and always willing to help with advice on the best restaurants, where to shop or something to do for fun on my time off. I did have a problem with the internet in my room. I reported the problem and the next day it was fixed. I really enjoyed having the small kitchen so I could cook instead of eating out every night.

We stayed at this hotel for a total of four nights. All in all everything was excellent. The staff was very friendly and outgoing and made sure we were well taken care of. Especially the ladies at the breakfast area. The free breakfast was the best I have ever seen and I travel quite a bit. There was definitely something for everything and the ladies made sure everything was well stopped. The pool and hot tub is outside and the only thing I would remark on that is that the pool had a bunch of mold by the stairs that really should be cleaned. The rooms were absolutely huge and that was wonderful. We had a room by the outside doors and I would absolutely not recommend having a room there. The constant slamming of doors woke us up many times throughout the night. Not the hotels fault but unfortunately just a bad location of a room. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly, helpful staff here, most notably Jackie, the front desk manager; Laurence, the front desk associate; and Michael, the maintainer man. We had a two bedroom, two bath suite that was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We loved how the bathroom sink is separate from the rest of the bathroom. Three tv’s, full-size fridge, dishwasher, dishes, table and chairs, and a sleeper sofa round out the suite’s features. We will come back here if in the area again!
