We had a blast. Stayed in Palo Alto. Very clean. Couple of tips: 1. The shower is cramped. Be prepared 2. Bring your own soap. 3. Don't leave the porch light on in the summer. The bugs. Wow! 4. Enjoy a walk down the the Yazoo River. It's lovely. 5. Take a run down to Robert Johnson's grave site.

Nice lodges, rebuild after former slave cottages, but with enough modern comfort. One can buy breakfast stuff in the city greenwood Market till 10 pm (One cannot buy decent Wine in this supermarkt) Prepare your breakfast and eat it on the terrace ! During the night we had a real thunderstorm with lightenings and heavy rain. Cats and dogs. If...

Did not stay in the flats. I did go look inside... I would probably never stay bc I'm not into that kind of stuff. They offered us to stay, but I looked at the website and knew I wouldn't be happy. The wedding reception was very nice. The event hall is adorable.

We stayed in the old Palo Alto sharecropper shack and thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and charm. It's funkiness makes staying here an adventure. The country location is quiet yet close to Greenwood. Clements was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The Mississippi Delta has a dark beauty that gets under your skin. We will be back.

Well im writing this review at the time im actually staying at the Tallahatchie Flats. We had a late check in. Clements was very accommodating and pleasant. These cottages are beyond my expectations. I have fallen in love with my cottage "The Red House". My father and his partner are in "Tush Hogs". They feel so authentic and real and...

My aunt and I stayed one evening at Tallahatchie Flats in October, 2014. We sat on the front porch for hours and enjoyed the quiet, pleasant evening. If you are looking for a five-star hotel, please pass by. However, if you are wanting to re-visit the past in a comfortable, no-frills atmosphere please consider staying here.

This is not your typical motel/hotel. These are renovated homes of country people living and working in the Delta. To stay here you would be experiencing some history. These homes are comfortable and warm with all the necessities.

We stayed at Tallatchie flats and the Shack up inn on 2 consecutive nights, so I can give a comparison. Tallatchie Flats is more authentic I would say. Shack up probably had more to offer. Both nights I was a bit worried about security, because these shacks are rickety. No issues occurred either night. And this added to the ambiance....

There is a difference between "rustic/quaint" and gross. This place is gross. The sheets, pillows, and furniture are stained and yellowed. I have better bath towels that I've thrown away years ago and use for cleaning my car and mopping up paint spills in the garage. The light is just a bare light bulb screws into the ceiling. It's a...

I highly, highly recommend the Tallahatchie Flats! Upon arrival, we had a small issue - we discovered that our house had a propane leak in it. But very quickly we were moved to another house with no issues at all, Clements, the manager was very nice and accommodating. It's a great place to just sit back, relax and enjoy your...

“We stayed in Tush Hog's. I would not suggest using the pull-out as those are generally filthy (we never looked at the pullout bed to verify). The queen bed and twin bed will sleep 2-3 just fine.”
