We were with a large group and overall the stay was amazing. The resort offers plenty of activities, such as water sports, a heated pool and hot tub and walks from the resort.

The welcome upon arrival was incredibly friendly, which was followed by a yummy lunch. There certainly

After a less than thrilling stay in Greymouth, we took the ferry to Picton which was a charming trip with good weather. Transfer to the Bay of Coves was relatively painless and after a somewhat lengthy introduction to the place when all we wanted was to get to our room, we had di

We do have a few famous people stay with us at the Bay of Many Coves Resort and to have Jack Dee stay was indeed a treat. I am sorry that he took your table however I am sure that meeting Jack was just as big a treat. I am glad you found the rooms comfortable and delighted to know that you had such a great time on-board Lady Karen with Gordy. It is certainly one of the activities our guests enjoy the most. We very much look forward to welcoming you back to the resort soon and thank you for taking the time to post this review.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review. The part of this role that Kim and a I love the most is meeting all of the fantastic people that come through the Resort and showing off this beautiful property that not only us - but our owners are very proud of. From the walks through our 120 acres of bush clad land to spending time on the water in our peaceful bay and then enjoying a sensational dinner in the Foredeck Restaurant - there really is something for everyone and we are so glad your stay here was memorable for all the right reasons. Can’t wait to see you back again.

Do you have to get the meal plan while staying there? Or can you get the room only, and then buy food a la carte? If you have gotten the full bed, breakfast and dinner plan, do you think it was worth it?
That’s a really great question. Simple answer is ‘no’ you do not have to take the meal package when booking a room at the Resort. In terms of value - that is an individual preference. Some guests like to know that everything is all inclusive whilst others like to make that decision once they get here. I hope this is helpful. Graeme and Kim Smith | General Manager/s

Can you snorkel from the bay/beaches just off the shore or you have to get way out to see any marine life? How good is the snorkelling ,please?
There are some lovely marine reserves in the region such as Long Island - check out the DOC Parks website (link unable to be added to this site) from the lodge itself we would recommend swimming, kayaking,or going out to take a dive tour or snorkel tour with local operators to long island - or visits marine life from boat charters such as dolphins, (or swimming with dolphins) little blue penguins, many sea birds, and other marine life. Please email us directly for more details on all the possible options.
