If you're looking for a beautiful yet quaint, clean, affordable, and comfortable B&B in the heart of the adorable downtown of Bay St. Louis, MS, the Trust is the answer. It is in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of the beach, harbor, and downtown Main Street. It is owned and operated by the family who have owned and...

We stayed here with about 30 family members for a family reunion and had a great time. No, it is not spotless and new, but it is charming and historic with antiques everywhere. Rooms are spacious and a fantastic breakfast on real China in a formal dining room served by the owners. Fruit, coffee/tea, muffins, biscuits, grits, bacon, and eggs....

After checking trip advisor and visiting the website, I booked an overnight stay for myself and a friend at the Trust. The disappointment began as we drove up. The outside of the home, including the porch, was a worn as was the interior. The front parlor, which looked so inviting in the photos, was not even usable. The door was...

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at the Trust Bed and Breakfast. This place made old town Bay St. Louis feel like we took a step back in time. Our hosts (Hilton and his wife) were hospitable, attentive, and dedicated to preserving the history and beauty of their fine home. This 160 year old home went through one of...

I'll start off by saying the innkeeper and his wife were very nice. This being said I feel like, especially for the price paid, this B&B was disappointing. The first floor common areas are nice (especially the kitchen), but the rooms are not. Our room was dirty and our bed was uncomfortable and uneven. There is also a loud rattling...

When 90 year old Hilton Eymard greeted us warmly at the door of the inn, it was as though we were reuniting with an old friend, even though this was our first visit to The Trust. First, the personal tour of 1850's mansion took us back in time from the original owners to Hilton's acquisition of the place 40 years...

My husband and I stayed here last week. The home is beautiful. Hilton, our 88 year old host was wonderful to us. He even called to make sure that we had returned home safely! I cannot eat gluten so, the breakfasts were perfect for me. Would recommend.

I stayed here on consecutive weekends as we were moving our daughter to Bay St Louis. The house is gorgeous. We stayed in Grandmere's room both times. Hilton gives you a tour of the house. It is full of beautiful antiques with wonderful stories. My only problem is that I am very short and Grandmere's bed is high, so I...

While a bit of a work-in-progress, post Katrina, this nearly 10,000 sq. ft. approachable and comfortable 8 room B&B in the heart of old town Bay St. Louis, is filled with antiques -- all lovingly hand-selected over many years by the gracious yet informal owner/caretaker, Hilton Emyard. Hilton, with his notable Cajun accent, personally makes a large southern breakfast for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled in the quaint shoreside community of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, The Trust has served as a family home for more than 150 years to only 2 families. The home had humble beginnings as a one-room structure and over the years has evolved into its current Colonial Revival Architecture. Entering from the large veranda, one steps into a bygone era of gleaming hardwood floors, elegant chandeliers, and antique furnishings. The home has been lovingly restored and modernized. Each room includes a private bath supplied with Bed & Bath brand amenities and oversized thirsty towels. After a restful night's sleep, come down to a full breakfast served on fine china and sterling silver by your Cajun host Hilton Eymard. Then you will be ready to experience the many activities the area has to offer. Come enjoy the peaceful tranquility of this small town. By the way, Bay St. Louis was voted one of The Coolest Small Towns in 2013. ... more   less
