We arrived at about 8:45pm on 4/7/17. We were in Cabin 1. Kristen and Ted had lights turned on for us so it was easy to see coming in so late! It was very clean, cozy and nicely decorated. The cabin was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, towels and everything you could need. The view from the deck was awesome,...

Need a place for peace a quiet. This is it. We came during early spring for a change. This beats busy summer. Made a trip to Duluth. Did some hiking and saw a lot of deer. Nice. Will be back for sure ! ! !

We had a wonderful weekend in November 2016! Cabin #6 was so cozy and comfortable. It was cold outside but Cabin #6 was super-clean, warm, cozy, comfortable, and attractive. We had everything we needed and slept well the in the comfortable beds. We had a great view of the lake and could hear the waves crashing. We cooked good food...

My husband and I honeymooned on the North Shore and decided to rent a cabin on Lake Superior for a few days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had not stayed here before, but are very glad that we chose this resort for our mini-vacation. Our cabin (#1 - one of the townhouses) was lovely. It was very clean...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Sorry you had not the best water pressure. Friday afternoon the day you checked out we found a small fracture in the 1 1/2 inch water main in the basement of Cabin #3 after getting a report that the sump pump was running every 5 minutes. The repair was made and we...

We had out two older teens with is for a getaway to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was wonderful! We had record cold temps that limited our time on the snowmobiles, but we were still comfortable in the cabin gazing at the lake and walking down on the shore just outside the door. They do have dvds you can borrow,...

My husband and I have been going to Gooseberry Park Cottages and Motel for years. It is so peaceful.... The new owners are awesome and have done a fabulous job of refurbishing the cottages but still keeping the quaintness... they are so comfy and cozy. Cabin 2 has always been our favorite. We have another weekend planned for March 17...

Three families rented cabins at Gooseberry Park Cottages. It was an amazing time! The fire down by Lake Superior was peaceful and the full moon was gorgeous! We sat there for hours. The cottages are perfect. This was our second time staying at Kristen and Ted's place. They are their if needed but everything was perfect so we didn't need...

If you're looking for an affordable, comfortable, and charming place to stay on the North Shore, you should seriously consider this one. We've driven past for years without giving it much consideration, but rave reviews online encouraged us to try it out. Kirsten and Ted have done an outstanding job of renovating the motel and cabins, and their attention to...
