Because most of Stillwater's B&Bs score highly, whether one is rated first or fifth denotes little difference in quality of stay. All offer a very rich experience in almost every way. Of the top B&Bs, the Rivertown is the most extravagantly furnished in period antiques and decor. It' also located right at the top of the Chestnut Street steps, just...

I stayed at Rivertown Inn over the 2014 Christmas Holidays. Everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly and informative. Larry Loyer especially. He could answer all of my questions about the history of this gorgeous property. After 4 nights, I hated to leave but can't wait to return. Oh, and the chef is top-notch too. The breakfasts are a...

The staff was amazing, very helpful and courteous throughout our entire stay there. We stayed in early winter but plan to come back in the summer to take advantage of the entire grounds. The entire Rivertown Inn is full of antiques and interesting architecture for the period that the home was built and the theme of the inn. My wife and I went on 5 day vacation for our 14th anniversary. This was our last place to stay. We were blown away by the beauty. We stayed in the Jane Austin Sweet. This particular room was gorgeous. The staff, at our request, had a bottle of champagne on ice waiting in our room. It was the most perfect...

We stayed in the Agatha Christie suite on a Friday night to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. The main house is absolutely beautiful! We were greeted by a friendly young woman who toured us around, pointing out the 2 dining rooms where breakfast would be served in the morning, various places to lounge and relax, the "honor system" wine/champagne bar...

My husband and I received a gift card to the Rivertown Inn, so we went leaving our 2 year old and 4 month child with the grandparents. This was our first time away (without BOTH kids) and it was just what we needed. Incredibly romantic, fabulous service, and impeccable food. It is a bit pricy, but well worth it. We...
