I´ve booked the hotels for 2 mid-aged couples who toured this part of France and stayed in many chambres d´hotes, and they particularly enjoyed a stay at Les Pierrines. Their host Patricia was a lovely lady with a friendly approach and a good source of local information. The rooms were lovely and breakfast tasty. Even the French double beds (which...

The room was beautifully decorated and quiet; the beds were very comfortable; the bathroom was large and modern (it had fluffy towels, a hair dryer and even a towel warmer). The wifi connection was...

We had the best of everything - in our 15 days of travel by car, here we had the best and most peaceful sleep (best mattress) AND the best breakfast. (The traditional Franch breakfast was augmented by a very welcome bowl of fresh fruit, home-made fruit loaves - very healthy - and home-made conserves.) We had one of 2 beautifully...

Located in the vineyards of Saumur approx 7 miles from the town. This is a beautifully restored house with lovely rooms and a great garden. We were greeted by the ever helpful Patricia and Eric who made us feel welcome from the outset. The restaurant Taverne d" Antoine is a short walk where the food was of a high standard....

“The upper room had stairs, but they were set at a good gradient and easy to climb. The upper room is gabled, so may not be good for someone who is very tall.”
