I grew up camping, I hate camping. These cabins are perfect for me, this is as "roughing it" as I get. A nice hot shower, a comfy bed, a full kitchen, and the lake is right there, just steps from the cabin. You get your own fire pit on the edge of the lake. Plus, because they allow dogs, my Yorkie...

I stayed in The Nest. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The heat made the cabin seem very comfortable and cozy with the cold night temps in October. It had more in it than I anticipated. There is a nice sized table, perfect for working on crafts or puzzles, with 3 windows that look out onto the yard and...

The Lakeside cabins are awesome! We stayed at the nest which was up on the hill. It was clean and cozy, but the view of the lake a bit obscured by trees. There are at least four cabins that are RIGHT ON the water. The next time I am in the area, they will be my first choice. All are...

I recently stayed with my wife and step son and daughter in law, plus toddler for just one night. I was looking for a quiet spot, close to the water that had a kitchen and 2 bedrooms without breaking the bank. I had very good vibes when I made the reservation after talking to dean the owner. Very professional and...

Little Marais Lakeside Cabins, also known as Superior Lakeside Cabins, are located in Little Marais, Minnesota on Highway 61 about 70 miles North of Duluth, MN. The cabins are located on the Lake side of the highway and are easily accessible via a gravel road that leads down to the shore. Parking is next to the cabins. The cabins I...

Stayed in The Nest. Log cabin, close parking, gift shop. Wonderful room, quiet, comfy bed. Great place to sit and read. Firepit near cabin. Has a deck with grill and chairs and a thermometer. Great service. Shoreline is great for sitting also. The cabin has everything you need. It was chilly that week, and the electric heat worked great. Would...

We stayed in the White Bear cabin and loved it!!! -View is incredible. Definite recommend walking down to rocks for Sunrise views if you set your alarm. There is no view of sunset but I would advise going down to rocks to see the light on the Southern horizon for sunset. If you buy some firewood our neighbors brought there...

Thanks Troy, It was nice having you both here. Glad that you liked the White Bear cabin, your friend might have enjoyed the pull out bed in the living room. Sunrises and Moonrise can be quite spectacular from the shore or right from the wrap around deck.

We stayed in The Nest on a recent portion of our Lake Superior Circle Tour. Clean, comfortable and very considerately appointed. Fresh ground coffee, firewood for the firepits, satellite TV, if that's your thing. Books and games in the cabin. The bed was unbelievably sleep-inducing. The breeze off the lake, whispering through the pines and cedars, carrying the fresh smells...

It was wonderful having you stay in The Nest, our own little slice of heaven. People such as yourselves are why we do what we do. You came half way around the world to enjoy the North Shore of Superior. We are glad to be one of your good memories!

My wife and I have stayed at Lakeside Cabins at least 8 times and love them all. This year we plan to stay at one of their colonial cabins located down the road a mile or so. If you are looking for nice, clean housekeeping cabins near the lake, look no further. They are well situated near a number of...

Because their single cabins were full, we stayed in half of the Corrymeela cabin. There was a bedroom with one bed, and the sitting area had a futon that opened into another bed. It was a bit small, but that was okay because we were there for only 2 nights. We spent our days up and down the North Shore...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our Resort is centrally located in the Arrowhead region of Minnesota right on Lake Superior's shoreline. All of the North Shore attractions are within easy reach, whether it be hiking, sight seeing, shopping or just plain relaxing by the cool waters of Superior. We have two cabins locations, both pristine and uniquely different. At our Lakeside Cabins the cabins are right at lake level in a park like setting with trees and grass right up to the cobble strewn shoreline. These one and two bedroom cabins, most with full kitchens and fireplaces, all have picnic tables and charcoal grills, as well as fire pits in front of each cabin. Many of these cabins are just 25 Ft. from the waters edge, all of the cabins have a gorgeous view. A perfect location for children, with a swing set and plenty of play area.At our Colonial Estates Cabins you will find yourself high above the lake well off the road with an abundance of trees and grassy areas. Here we have two rustic cabins that rent and two new units, a Log cabin and a two bedroom cottage intermingled with private summer cabins. Absolutely beautiful views, the cabins are about 40 ft. above the lake with pathways or staircases accessing a secluded ledge rock shoreline. In our gift shop The Eagles Nest you can find unique gifts and souvenirs of the area as well as Ice Cream and Sodas, cabins cuisine and condiments. If you left any necessary items behind you may just find it here. We have two year round rental houses, a two bedroom house at the upper level of the Lakeside Cabins called Elsie's House it has a large kitchen a huge living room with a family room with an amazing unobstructed view of the Lake sitting on four acres all by itself. The Superior House is a three bedroom house furnished in Antiques, with a fireplace and it's own private shoreline. This house sits on 4.5 acres. Our Vacation rental houses give you much more space and large kitchens for that home away from home feel. Both with great views and a shared Swing set. ... more   less
