We originally reserved a campsite, but my wife made me change the reservation to a cabin (which the staff graciously accommodated) since the weather called for the possibility of thunderstorms. We are glad that did, since we awoke to lightning and rain. The cabin was...More
Camped in the north lot. Had water, sewer and electric. Only stayed overnight. All of the sites are nice. Mostly situated in a wooded setting. Some tent sites are very close to the beach. Do not have any utilities. Staff are very friendly. Beach is...More

Yes, they do allow dogs. I actual brought two, black lab and a German wire haired pointer. this is an excellent place. Beautiful beach and great location, you are close to everything. Might I suggest eating at Lockport- in Lutsen - great breakfast or anytime. Grand Marais is also a dog friendly town if you venture up there for a day trip. Also highly suggest hiking the temperance river trail! Sit on the deck and enjoy a beer at the Temperance Liquor store and listen to the locals, with the dog of course- take the dog in the liquor store for a pop or other beverage and get a dog treat! Have fun...I'll be further north of Grand Marais next week and can't wait that area is good for the soul, enjoy
