All of the big things were OK. Locations very nice. Deck is right on the water/lake. Rooms are clean and spacious. It would be easy for a couple with kids. Not good if two couples wanted to share. The innkeeper is very nice and caring. She providers a breakfast credit at two local restaurants. Both are very good. The fishing...

Tara's was our base for three days of vacation in northern Minnesota. It was absolutely fantastic! Each unit is a complete apartment, so we could have cooked, but chose instead to check out some of the local restaurants. Each morning we watched float planes take off from the lake and watched trains amble across the bridge to and from Canada...

We stayed here with a combined family of six, including two teenagers. The accomodations were comfortable, and the views from the second floor deck were amazing. Ranier is a nice little town, and well situated by the lake with a short drive or bike ride to Int'l Falls. Tara was very warm and accomodating, opening up a second suite that...

I just got back from three days at Tara's and have to say it was more than I could have expected. We stayed in the boat house and it was absolutely fabulous. Rustic, sitting right over the water, the sound of the water lapping up against the wharf and the train rolling through town were just the icing on the...

Tara's is a great family place, somewhere to take the kids and enjoy fishing on Rainy Lake. Comfortable rooms, very clean and spacious. The inn is right on the lake, with nice views of the lake and sunsets and sunrises. The dock is very fun, a place to grill and enjoy a picnic. There are two beaches nearby, one is...

We went to Ranier, MN to spend an extended weekend doing some fishing and just plain relaxing. We were fortunate to find Tara's Wharf (Rainy Lake Inn) would welcome our dog along with us, and so that was a plus. We wanted to be able to do some light cooking as well, and so with those things in mind and...
