This is the 1869 Fillmore county jail. It has been remodeled into a 12 room inn. The owners have taken perfect care of this gem and it is a beautiful place to spend a few nights exploring the beautiful bluff country of SE Minnesota near Rochester and Mayo Clinic. Miles of paved Bicycle trails, State parks, caves, Trout fishing and...

We stayed with Jeanne & Marc at the JailHouse Inn on a trip through south MN to Des Moines. They were wonderful hosts, took great care of us and are such lovely people. Very laid back and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! We must come back again to stay in the cell block!

We totally enjoyed staying in this beautifully renovated jail bed and breakfast! It's tucked away in the town of Preston, Minnesota. If you're bikers, this is the place to stay for a good night's sleep after biking the trails between Preston, Lanesboro, and Waylon. Our hosts were delightful, breakfast delicious, and the property so interesting. The imagination and decorating of...

We really enjoyed our recent stay in the Oriental room at the Jailhouse Inn. The room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast, served in the lovely dining room. Breakfast was served for an hour, and we were free to arrive anytime in that timeframe. It was nice to have that flexibility and have...

We could now tell all our friends and family that we finally ended up in jail! This inn is a very cool historic building with all the rooms named after the jail functions that they originally served, ie the drunk tank, the processing room, etc. Some of the basement rooms even still have bars on them. It's an absolutely beautiful...

Stayed in the court room. Bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Whirlpool tub was nice after an afternoon of biking. Cookies in the evening were a nice touch and yummy. Guest kitchen has wine and bottled water for purchase. Breakfast was very good. Owners were incredibly nice and friendly.

What a charming place with a really cool history. The owners are extremely pleasant, fabulous cooks, and very knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in the jail cell, which is the actual old cell block of four cells that they have converted into three "bedrooms", two each with a queen bed, one with a twin; and a bathroom with a...

Had the balcony all to ourselves so did a lot of reading in the rocking chairs. The innkeepers were extremely kind, funny and helpful with things to do in the area. The breakfasts were amazing!! Loved our...

Stayed in the Sun Room. Host was very friendly and very helpful- gave great tips for area site seeing. Breakfast was fresh fruit, waffle, and potatoes with good coffee. The B&B certainly has character- historic but very comfortable.
