The moment we reached the resort, we were overwhelmed by the entire set up of the resort with beautiful tents, spacious garden, and the greenery around. The resort staff were very helpful and friendly and attended to our needs at all time. Food was definitely great and a lot of variety was served. The food is ofcourse part of the package. The tents are well maintained with clean toilets and rooms and colorful interiors. The resort is owned by a Dr., so everything is definitely taken care of including medical assistance. An army hospital is in close proximity to the resort along-with a district hospital at 7 kms distance. Thanks to the Dr. and the staff, my father who had fallen sick, was taken care of.
We reached the place after a long day journey and we were impressed with the level of comfort that this accommodation offered. Very clean, huge and comfy tents with bathroom (running hot water in the morning) are in this area. The price includes the buffet meals.
It was a memorable experience staying at Apple Nubra Cottage. Tents are very close to sand dunes.Service was good and the atmosphere was just awesome. the tents were super clean, they even have wifi facility in the camp.Hot water comes in the morning and evening time.Food was ok ok .but over all great stay .
My friend and I stayed in one of their robust tents for one night. It was warm inside and we were sheltered from any wind and rain. There was a comfortable bed with thick blanket too. Outside, there was a grassy area with trees and hammocks strung between them. Perfect to relax in the presence of nature. However, the service of the staff could be improved. We were not told of the electricity timings, and as I was about to shower at 11:02pm, the electricity suddenly went out. Also, even after attempts by the staff to get warm water flowing through the shower tap the next morning, it did not work. It was quite disappointing. Here is my suggestion for improvement: 1. The staff should clearly inform all guests about the electricity and meal timings as soon as they arrive at…
Location - Very close to the main sand dunes area Tents - this is the best part. I was not exactly sure about the place when we booked it but we were totally surprised when we got to this place. It is truly awesome! You wont feel as if you are in a tent..the beds, carpet and toilets, everything is very well maintained. There is hot water facility in the morning Food- Again amazing food options considering the location of property Resort - Not as such a resort but they do have a wonderful garden and good seating arrangement in the open Staff - Very helpful
We stayed in the luxury tents at Apple Cottage and were not disappointed. The hotel gets electricity only from 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm and one needs to ensure that mobile and cameras are charged during this window. Hot water is available in the morning before breakfast is served. Nubra is a cold desert and it is very hot till sundown, and very cold till sunrise. There are no fans and one has to make do with that. The ambience at the resort makes up for the lack of some things that we usually take for granted. You can hear birds chirping all through the day, and the only scary thing is the dogs barking, sometimes throughout the night. The tea is freshening and the food is also good, though there are limitations to the menu for obvious reasons. If you are visiting the valley on a full…
The tents were great and the staff was super accommodating to allow 4 of us (me + 3 friends) stay in a single tent with an extra bed. The property itself is really pretty with a lot of greenery and hammocks placed all around. Great views of the surrounding mountains. The food was great and after dinner there was a bonfire with singing and dancing, which made for great laughs and conversation.
It was a wonderful experience to stay here after a long and challenging drive from Leh to Hunder via Khardungla, only a km away from the famous sand dunes in Hunder it absolutely exceeds our expectations. The Swiss tents are clean , attached baths are furnished and food is also awesome. The hammocks , tables, camp fire in the garden are an additional delight to the tourists.
Proper signages will guide you to the resort as soon as u reach Hunder. Nice and spacious tent cottages with a comfortable king size bed to soothe ur nerves after a long tiring journey from Leh. Can easily accomodate extra bed if required. Hot running water available in attached bathroom in morning hours with shower. One can relax on Hammocks and garden chairs in the lawn just in front of the tents. Supportive staff is accomodative, courteous and provide prompt service.. The staff will guide and inform u about the initiation timings of hot water and other nitty gritties. Served welcome tea with hot pakodas on arrival in the evening. The resort has a nice view of Westrern himalayan ranges covered with snow. The resort also provide complimentary WiFi. Overall a memorable and…
