The best part of the cottage is its resort like nature. It has many hammocks which offer perfect relaxation. A variety of birds can be seen in the garden. The cottages are basic but comfortable. Food is decent. A bonus for me was the visit of the owners whose very cute kid turned out to be a great playmate.
Best cottage in Nubra. It is surrounded by mountains with apricot, apple trees all around. The food was very fresh and taste wise it was ok. You get only vegetarian food here. Hot water was available in morning. Overall it’s a very nice and pleasant stay, could not ask for more.
The camp is very relaxing and in the middle of forest... the camps are very spacious and also offers wifi and water running all day .... in the centre of the camp there is a farm which grows all the vegetables and apricot that are then used the delicious food they offer... they can arrange for Bon fire if paid extra ... there are coffee table set all over the garden to relax...trees are hanged with swing... sand dunes and double jumped camel safari are just 10 mins drive away.. the camps are very clean neat and tidy... would surely visit apple nubra cottage if planning to go back to Ladakh again..and recommend everyone
After a long and tiring Bike ride from Leh to Hunder in Nubra valley, we stumbled upon these cottages. The staff is very humble and helpful. Good tents with hot water and western washroom setup. Good privacy. The view outside is fantastic. The food which is a part of the package is also delightful and a blessing in this part of the world. Must stay destination close to the sand dunes.
This camp site is within 10 min drive from the location of double humped camel safari. It has 20 Swiss tents which are well maintained, colorful and with attached toilets. The camp site is beautiful with lots of trees and hammocks attached between the trees. There is a separate common dinning hall for breakfast and dinner. The food served is in buffet system with variety of options and good taste. For snacks you can also ask for Maggi (which was prepared very differently yet tasty). At evening we played games as we were a group of 40. After dinner, they had arranged a campfire for us. It was fun in dancing at higher altitudes 😉 Very relaxing place! Must visit..
To start off here are the things we liked - 1. Average spaced tents. Not too crammed. 2. Cleanliness 3. Good washrooms 4. Quiet and cool environment Problem areas - 1. The manager had left a spare bed in our 2nd tent. It totally took up all the space that we needed to move around. He didn't take it out after telling him 4 times. His tone was such that it implied that we should not think of using that bed as he'll take it "if and when he needs". (these were his words) 2. He was a bit stand-offish about the doubts that we asked him about the electricity and hot water - Didn't you read this paper? he asked Otherwise a good place to stay. But please don't pull stunts like leaving extra beds in rooms we booked for 2 people and taking up all our space, and then showing sass when…
Had along with 10 International Riders including Diplomats visited Nubra and stayed at Apple Cottage. We were firstly very surprised with the excellent quality of the luxury tents and the bathrooms which was honestly not expected in a small hamlet like Hunder. The manager was very responsive and accommodating, always ready to help. The food was amazing as it came from their own green patch..over all a very good experience and must visit.
I went to Nubra valley last week and stayed in Apple cottage at Nubra valley. The location is amazing and the tents are very comfortable. The manager Mr. Bharadwaj is a very friendly and caring. I totally loved the place and recommend to everyone who ever is traveling to Nubra.
The location and the space is amazing, it look like a complete village with lot of flowers and organic vegetables. Food the good and services are very nice. overall one of the best investment of your money in Nubra valley.
The tents are beyond awesome. The location of the tents are extremely beautiful and perfectly done.. The greenery around is perfectly maintained. Sleeping on tents with mountains around was quite fascinating. The property is very well maintained. The staffs are very good in behaviour. Hot water is available at morning. Compared to other tents available in Hunder, We ( Snehasis,Nirvik & Asita)would prefer Apple cottage in terms of service, locality and food. Recommended property for a comfortable stay.
