The old is always gold this saying is true, The Organic Retreat Resort in Nubra Valley is one such place Which is around 14 years old but still its charm is the same.
Organic Retreat is the hidden gem of the Nubra Valley, where you will be mesmerized by the natural environment...Here you will find peace of mind, the sweet chirping of birds, the small springs flowing, the poplar trees all around, refreshing mountain air, vegetable garden, apple trees etc etc all of this you will find in one place.
The most fun is for us to stay in their Luxurious tent, Which is very comfortable and spacious, especially when it comes to the bathroom, its wall is made of river stone which is quite amazing and beautiful.
My family had a lot of fun there, especially sitting in a comfortable hammock outside the tent and enjoying the natural beauty, It was a really pleasant experience , and one more thing is they have beautiful area for bonfire where we can give our body a little warmth.
They have one beautiful fine dine restaurant where we can enjoy some Lip smacking cuisine, best part of resort is they have open live garden kitchen with dining space under the tree in open landscape area, where you can enjoy your food in lap of nature with forest vibes.
The staff here are very helpful, all the staff from Manger to the chef is very polite & friendly.
If you want to spend some time with yourself, so you will never find this kind of beautiful place anywhere in Nubra Valley..i highly recommend this place especially for nature lovers.

This place gives complete resort feeling with stay in the lap of nature with water stream running around your best quality camps. These camps are very comfortable and best in class washrooms aligned with them. Awesome ladakhi breads and tea they offer. Also during night they offer good food & music at dinner place with picturesque sitting arrangements and hammock at various places. So it's a best in class arrangement in such a tough terrain with complete and warm comfort.

I visited the place with my family. It was a very memorable experience. The vibe of the place, the experience of the tents, living with the nature was a completely out of the world experience.
The tents there had such a unique concept. They do not have a locking system. It is all based on zips and still felt safe. There is a stream running around the tents which gives a nice background sound which gets you to sleep at night.
The common area hosts the bonfires at night where all the guests gathered around, we played music, danced, played games.
The staff was also very friendly and courteous. So polite, they feel like friends. The live counter was handled by dechen and puntsog who made and served the delicious hot food, the momos, their local bread and tea. It was really a treat. Both of them became friends with me, they told me about their local customs and culture, we danced together. It was so much fun.
Overall this was a very memorable stay. I would really like to come back here some day and stay there for a longer time.

It is an idyllic green place to stay in Nubra Valley in the midst of a desert! Tucked between the Sheesham trees, Apple and Walnut Orchards with water streams flowing all across the property, the moment you step in, you experience that its your gateway to Ladhaki way of life. Breathtaking sights all around with an organic vegetable garden, the property has 20 Swiss Deluxe tents with attached bathrooms. Your silence is perturbed only by the chirping of birds, the hustling of trees and burble of water stream.
The property has a badminton court, a swimming pool, spa and greenery all around. The open-air dining area especially during the night is nothing less than magical. The layout of the property is very well designed which brings you closer to nature. Cycles are being provided for kids as well as adults to move around in the property. For service at the resort, Manager Ankush along with his team are always available with a pleasant smile!
One of the greatest highlights of the stay here for us was the visit to ‘Village Craft Market’, which is next door from the resort parking area. It’s a magical place in the evening after sunset, with beautiful ambience, live music, good snack counters and traditional Ladakhi craft counters. We had a ball of a time of the 2 hours we spent, with weather playing our way.
For whatever you come to Ladakh, you cannot in any way miss the delicious Nine Course Ladakhi Meal that is offered with personalized service by soft-spoken Ladakhi Chef Jigmet at the ‘Heritage Kitchen’. Prior booking is required for the same. The meal is offered next door to the resort in a traditional Ladakhi setting. Chef Jigmet will explain to you not only about the ingredients of each dish and its significance in Ladakh but also take you to the origins of the same, which makes you realize how sustainable the culture of the land is!

It was an breathtaking experience. The service, the ambiance and the service ever thing top to bottom exclusive. Worth every penny and more. The only place that can be your destination for Nubra Valley trip. The camp is deluxe, the bonfire, the stream through the camp, the lighting, everything was so thoughtfully designed and placed to make the visitors overwhelmed. Just Wow.

We stayed there fr 2 days . Starting from our tent , which was sooo beautifully done up , to the stream flowing right outside our room , to the trees and the beautiful set up on the retreat . We loved our stay at the organic retreat . The staff namely Dollkur, Monu sharma and Raman , who we interacted most with , and all the others made it so homely and took great care of us.
The food was exceptional, specially the thukpa and the momos in the nights .
The nights were so special with singing n dancing and the cultural night with Ladakhi dancers coming to perform for us , just raised the energy .

The entire resort is full of Apple , apricots ,walnuts and many many freshly grown organic vegetables. The food served was very delicious and all cooked with organic self grown vegetables and fruits. The staff is too friendly and ever ready to help at any given time. Mr monu sharma the resort manager is too helpful and can be rarely found such type of persons in best of the best hotels across globe.superb place to stay

We stayed in the resort for three nights and they were awesome. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. The tents were very well maintained.
Special mention to the staff who went out of their way to ensure that our vegetarian-only food choice was catered to. Chef Nawang, Kavoi, and Maharaj Rajesh took personal interest to cook the vegetarian options. The girls, Shivani, Bittu, and Punchok who manage the resort are highly energetic and proactive. Not to mention Shabbir who was always on standby to receive any request from our side. Overall a superb property and highly recommended..

Not the ideal time to visit as apart fro, inhospitable temperatures , logistics also is difficult as due to snow on major highways , connectivity may be hindered and your entire schedule could go for a toss, So plan wisely...
