Food is delicious and we got pure jain food and service from staff is best and we got every help that is needed. It's quiet cold in June too but hot water is available in morning so it's comfortable to stay.
Cottages was really good with attached washrooms. view in the morning was really awesome. Since it is very remote location, they do have electricity issue so you might feel more cold here. They do not have heat radiators unlike in other hotesl in leh so carry warm clothes at your best. Food was simple and tasty. Dinner buffet had roti, sabzi (2), daal, rice. and other time of day you will only find maggie or aloo paratha. There are other restaurants you can try during day time if you like non-veg.
We stayed there for two nights. Most of the accommodation in Nubra is camps. However here there have build permanent cottages well spread out in a vast Area. They have Garden with ample of sitting area. Place is very much neat and clean and a continuous water stream running along side adds to the charm of the area. Staff is very helpful and gives good service. The food is freshly made and you can order of your choice. However there is some limitations due to non availability of lot of stuff in Nubra. Also in case you need to leave early in morning then better to tell them before hand for the food as also for Hot water for the bath.
1. Warm welcome 2. Clean and warm rooms ... Lovely interior 3. Spacious and clean garden and sitting 4. Very very good staff and service 5. One of the lovely thing ... Tasty and hygiene food 6. Big and clean bathrooms 7. Pleasant and memorable stay
Room was very clean and comfortable. I visited Nubra with my friends (all girl trip), and the place was very safe and welcoming. Staff was very polite and helpful. They have a very good arrangement for camp fire and we enjoyed the stay very much.
- Ambience is too good, with a stream of water passing nearby hotel( that soothing sound is priceless ) - They also have arrangements for campfire - Food they have their menu planned, but you request anything special they are happy to help of they can. - The hotel owner himself looks after everything personally and is ready to help anytime 24*7 - All in all a place to go for blindly! *Value for money* - Music was awesome, they do provide WiFi.
Great to get a night stay at this lovely place at Hunder Village. Mr Salim with his staff was the greatest host. The serene surounding with the water flowing near our cottage. Strongly recommend this beautiful property to visitors coming to Nubra Valley
My family and I were welcomed by Mr Salim and his staff after we decided to change our accomodation from a campsite. The place is beautiful with the flowing water from the valley's aqueduct. Mr Salim's warmth and hospitality made us feel very comfortable. We will gladly recommend this place to our friends and family if they are coming to Nubra Valley. Good luck and best wishes to The Wooden Nest.

Special Thanks To Mr Salim for guiding us and helping us to explore the best ...Good Job Keep It Up...Thank You The Wooden Nest and Team.....
We reached here quite late in the night but were bedazzled by the beautiful property as we entered as saw it colourfully lit up all over quite aesthetically that too and a stream flowing right through it's middle separating the cottages from dining area Even though we reached a bit late and it was almost dinner time, the staff was courteous enough to offer us tea, coffee as per our demand The cottage too was quite well done up with wooden flooring and lots of woodwork in the complete structure.. The washroom was neat and clean and quite a respite after spending a couple of nights in the tents The dining area too was a delight to one's with nice cozy sitting arrangement and we ended up eating probably the best vegetarian food during our entire stay in Ladakh The electricity we were told would switch off at 11 pm as they switch off their generator then but we were quite lucky that day and the same did not happen They had hot running water both during the day as well as evening and were kind enough to pack our breakfast as we had to leave early for Pangong Lake the next day of arrival…
