Great location for people touring University of Minnesota. It is right in the middle of campus located near several restaurants. It has a Starbucks attached. Well maintained and clean. The parking was only 15 dollars. The staff was quite helpful. We also toured Macalester and the hotel provided a shuttle to their campus.

I drove to Minneapolis from Canada. MY Tom-tom was not reliable because of construction in town. Parking ok, and in hotel meals above average, with many choices nearby. Perfect location for a Sherlock Holmes conference, and the next one will be in 2019.

This is my favorite hotel in Minneapolis! Fabulous staff always ready to help (and they don't screw up). All requests dealt with promptly and efficiently and with a smile. Lobby is welcoming with great conversation nooks perfect for meeting friends or business associates. The Beacon restaurant has an excellent nouveau cuisine menu with perfect service for medium-range prices. Room service...

The good- friendly helpful staff, nice appearance, great location on a beautiful campus. Rooms are truly dirty. Moved a bed table to plug in phone and there was a pile of dirt and filth. Made you wonder how superficially clean everything was. All baseboards dirty.

I was very pleased with my recent stay at the Commons. The staff was very professional, the rooms were clean and roomy, and I would recommend it to anyone. A special plus for me was the very convenient access to the Twin Cities' light rail (across the street from the hotel).

Beautiful hotel right in the middle of the UofM campus. Light rail stop literally right outside the door connecting to downtown and the airport, plus a very convenient shuttle run by the hotel means you don't need a car. For those with a car, parking garage across right across the street connected by skywalk with in/out privileges for only $15/day....

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. (This was our second stay.) The room was spacious, well-appointed, comfortable and immaculate. Water pressure in the shower was excellent (a bugaboo of mine) and the temperature range just right. The conference amenities were generous, thoughtful and the snacks imaginative. The staff was consistently gracious, warm, and helpful. With the light...

I was at the Commons Hotel for a multi-day event. It was very easy to get to the hotel using light rail--the station is less than a block away from the hotel--and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They also provided some wonderful catering touches for the event that really made it special. The hotel restaurant was lovely, although...

This is a beautiful hotel in a nice location. Two attached bars/restaurants make it even nicer. The lobby area is gorgeous. The staff were all friendly and helpful! The beds and pillows were amazing and we had a great sleep.

We just completed a long weekend conference at the Commons Hotel. As co-chair, I heard nothing but compliments from the attendees who stayed there. Attendees were incredibly positive about the hotel rooms, the staff, the meeting room, the quality of the food served both at the banquet we had as well as the inhouse restaurant The Beacon. We were so...
