During our time in Lutsen, we wanted to ski on a budget. This motel accomplished this goal, but for what was received, the price was not worth it. The rooms weren't clean, they don't have staff on site 24/7 and the spa is dirty and outdated. For how much you pay for a night, I would expect them to keep...

There were 4 of us and it was our first time skiing in Lutsen. We wanted an inexpensive place that was pretty close to the ski resort, had two queen size beds, free breakfast, and a hot tub. The Mountain Inn met all of those requirements (downside was that the free breakfast was at the parents resort off of the...

We booked in advance using the average fall color predictions from the DNR. We were there too early, these things are hard to predict. Upon check-in, the clerk was busy on the phone and never even looked up to acknowledge us. After about 5 minutes she was off the phone. Room was average, everything we expected. Bed was very comfy....

Not wanting to spend a lot on a room I'd only need for the night this turned out fine. I didn't have any reservations as I headed up the North Shore and as I stopped along the way finding out places were filled already by mid afternoon there was some concern. Last I knew the Eagle Ridge had rooms for...

Was charged $139 dollars for cancelling 3 days early do due a serious illness. Seems pretty short sited. Do they think that I'll ever choose this place again. This is the most restrictive and costly cancellation policy that I've ever encountered. We make several snowmobiling trips every year, hope that they enjoy that $139!

The first thing to pay attention to is when you're checking in because you may need to check in down at the Lutsen Resort down by the lake. The place itself is near the ski runs and is a bit dated, but still nice. The rooms are basic but clean. I did, though, notice a good amount of dust in...

Owned by Lutsen Resorts, its a quaint little hotel with maybe 20 rooms. Not a hilton by any means but comfortable and clean with no bugs. Internet worked occassionally but had to kickstart by goimg to the lobby. Hot tub was nice... Nothing overpowering but could have been a tad cooler as noted in a previous comment. The buildimg is...

-We reserved a pet friendly room online with a receipt and when we arrived the front desk person said that they had us in a regular room. We had to wait 20 minutes so that they could figure out how to fit us in a pet friendly room. -Then we went to the hot tub and it was scolding hot....

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I apologize that you had a disappointing experience. I have visited with all the managers involved to alert them to the issues you identified. I am sorry about the early knock on your door. Our housekeepers did not follow protocol which is to never knock before 9 AM. I will check...

I needed to switch to a different hotel and cancelled four weeks prior to the date I had booked. I can't recommend a place with a $30 cancellation "bookkeeping" fee. If you book a room make sure you don't have something happen or you'll be out $30. Doesn't seem like a "friendly" policy to me.

This place was great. We got a ski and stay package for a very reasonable price. As some people mentioned it was not staffed, which was fine. We had no trouble checking into room or throughout our stay. Very clean and comfortable room. We'll definitely be staying here again to ski at lutsen!
