I had booked two nights here as the finish to a week of camping and biking along the North Shore for our 23rd wedding anniversary. The people were nice when we checked in and the small bathroom and shower was good. It was wonderful to get a great shower and their fluffy white towels were a luxury after using a...

Thank you for taking the time to review our property! We are sorry for the warm summer weather! But up here, it's frankly a blessing to get some nice warm days and nights. Most of the time, especially at night, it's in the 50's to 60's here so air conditioning is just not a thing here just like furnaces and...

My daughter and I had a great stay at the Cascade Lodge! We were looking for something a bit more "rustic" than a typical hotel, and this hit the spot! We stayed in cabin 5A. When we first entered our little cabin, it did have a bit of a smell. Additionally, the room was a bit warm as it was...

Thanks for recommending us to other guests! We appreciate it and especially are glad you enjoyed our unique Lake Superior shoreline. Just FYI--we replaced our ice machine last week with a new air cooled one and it is working great! Michael O'Phelan, Owner

We stayed in the Creek Chalet at the Cascade Lodge last week. We like the peace and quiet of the place and the nice deck outside where we could sit and listen to the creek rush by. A nice location and friendly staff.

We stayed in a cabin for the third year in a row. Our stay was very enjoyable. This location gave us easy access to sites we wanted to visit. Had a very good experience. Seems to be good for families too.

We recently stayed in unit 5D, with 2 bedrooms, full bath, and a great room with full kitchen. This is an old, rustic resort, but it was adequately furnished and had a very good kitchen and dining table. It was quiet and across route 61 from Lake Superior. It is surrounded by Cascade River S.P. and next door to a...

Uneven flooring. Super uncomfortable mattress. First night I felt like I was sleeping on an angle, so we turned the mattress, but somehow that was worse. Cream curtains not very dark. We were in the middle of three cabins so we had no view except of other cabins. Cracked paint dresser in the bathroom must be from the 1940s--needs some...

This hotel was very disappointing. The only positive I can say is it was clean. The rest from the paint on the walls to all the furniture is old and worn. In particular the slip covers on the common living room chairs were ill fitting , worn and uninviting. It needs a major renovation.

Cascade Lodge is a great place to stay! It is conveniently located on 61 in Lutsen with just a short drive into Grand Marais. Staff was wonderful and very pleasant. We stayed in Suite 104 as it was our honeymoon. Great little cabin feel with a small sitting room, king bedroom and hot tub in the bathroom. Also provides a...

We were in cabin 6. It had a nice patio that looked out on the lake. The place is beautiful. It had great towels, all the necessary kitchen stuff, and it was really clean. However, they carried "rustic" to far. The bed was worn out, and the couch was literally held together with fishing line and had holes in the...

Thanks for your commentary. Cabin 6 is scheduled for new furniture this fall. We are switching from Sleeper sofas over to Futons so when the cushion wears out we can easily replace it. Hope to see you again. Michael Owner

I was up for Fisherman's Picnic. I love this event, but it can get overwhelming. Staying at the Cascade Lodge was the perfect retreat. It's just minutes south of town with a lovely view of Lake Superior. I loved the big lobby with the Arts and Crafts design. Peaceful! The towels--wow--really thick! The pub next door had a great breakfast,...
