We stayed in one of the cabins which was perfect! The cabin had a word burning fireplace which added to the charming atmosphere on our wet, cold October weekend. One of the main reasons we chose Cascade Lodge was because they allow dogs in their cabins. We received a VERY warm welcome for our furry baby as they had an...

Went for a quick little get away after our wedding and this place was great! The view from our cabin was gorgeous and the cabin was quaint! The gentleman that checked us is was very nice as well as the gentleman that helped check us out. We hiked up to Lookout Mountain and the view from the top was breathtaking....

My friend and I were touring Grand Marais, Minnesota, a lovely place.. lake, history, and a place to enjoy nature. Cascade Hotel , the Main house is an inviting abode, with a great view of the Lake. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a big stove, Microwave, and coffeemaker. We had a pleasant stay there. I recommend this place...

Thanks for your nice review of our property. We take a lot of pride in what we offer and in keeping our place inviting and clean. We also really take our pricing seriously. We make every effort to be the #1 value resort on the North Shore so it's especially nice to have you notice that. Thanks again, Michael and...

It had been years since my wife and I had visited the North Shore and never to enjoy the changing fall colors. Although we decided to go a month and half before our trip date lodging was sparse. We had heard of the Cascade Lodge and thought based on being a North Shore iconic name it would be a good...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Cascade Lodge. It seems like you may have stayed in our Suite 104. It's a very popular choice, has been remodeled and kept up to our standards and is always spotlessly clean after our housekeepers get it cleaned. We have had literally 1000's of comments to that effect so I...

Love this place. I stay in the cabins as they allow my dogs in them. This is the number one reason for me closing this place. Great hiking and shopping nearby. Cabins are clean. Staff is friendly. Highly recommended.

Thanks for mentioning our pet friendly options. We allow pets in any of our cabins or motel rooms but not the main lodge building. We appreciate you taking the time to write a great review! Michael and Maureen O'Phelan, Owners

This property offered a lot of different options. There were rooms in the main lodge, little cabins, bigger cabins...it all depends what you are looking for. Not fancy, but comfortable and reasonably priced. Check with the staff to make sure that you are getting lodging that fits your needs and wants. We enjoyed our night there. The staff was very...

Nice classy old lodge. Nice functional sleeping room was adequate and clean though one of the chairs was slightly wobbly. TV got Big 10 football (which was nice during a rainy midday). Large sitting room downstairs had good view of Lake Superior with comfy chairs and reading lamps. Trail going uphill from property (away from lake) connects to a network...

This was our 14th year staying at Cascade Lodge. This Lodge is in the perfect place to stay, so comforting after a day of hiking. We have stayed in numerous cabins but find cabin 6 is our favorite. The owners are very friendly as well as the staff. We will be back again for many years to come.

We stayed in the lodge part (you can also stay in cabins). There's not much bad I can say about this place. The rooms are definitely dated and the bedding is like quilts like at your grandma's house; so it just felt really weird. Lot of dust in the room, which really set off my fiance's allergies. But the room...

Hello and thanks for the nice review. It sounds like you were in room 211. Sorry about the dust! I will definitely take this up with my housekeeping staff. I am really glad you liked the shoreline here, it's one of the few areas on the North Shore where there is no private property around so hiking the Shoreline is...

We have stayed at Cascade Lodge many, many times over the years. Our most recent trip was an anniversary vacation. We stayed one night in the lodge and 2 nights in a cabin. Both were just lovely.
