The view to the north is nice and the room is well-appointed and large - table and chairs, two beds, plenty of space for bringing our bikes inside and the shower is fine. The mattress in our room was terrible, though, and we both woke up with back aches. Luckily the work out on the bike trail fixed that for...

Hello, you're in a tourist town--you are not at a 5 star hotel. That being said, the room was CLEAN!!!!! Much better than I have sen in major hotel chains. The owner was a bit TMI but that was at check in and she had other personal things going on. Shampoo and soap was changed out every day even though...

At first glance, Green Gables Inn looks like a well landscaped, actually beautifully landscaped motel. But it's more than that. Located about 100 yds. from the Root River, the Inn has spacious well appointed rooms. We stayed in A3, paying a little more to have a room with a balcony which overlooked the inn's wide lawn and the bank of...

Expensive for a small town but Lanesboro is a tourist trap and everything is pricey. Very nice well-maintained property. Our room was neat and very clean and well appointed. New soap and shampoo was not provided each day. We were here as part of a big group that rented the whole place so we full use of the charming common...

Nice owner and courtyard for summer visits, but room was noisy and very plain. Heater, bathroom venting and thin walls made it extremely noisy! I like a little more from a hotel, but ok for price. Would like a little bigger bathroom. Definitely get a balcony room

Each year we hold a biking trip in Lanesboro, and stay at Green Gables. It's perfect for a group, with a nice central patio. Jackie is always very helpful with information and plenty of coffee! The Inn is at the edge of town, quiet and convenient to main roads, yet within walking distance to the town center. And of course,...

I went with 3 friends from H.S. We had adjoining rooms. Wonderful view, Clean, Spacious rooms. Owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a perfect time. My friends all loved the accommodations and we are already talking about taking a return trip and staying there again. The Inn is within walking distance to town but also off the beaten...

The rooms are large and clean. You can bring your own coffee maker and that's very convenient. She has muffins in the morning. As far as cost in Lanesboro, this is a great place to stay. Plus the owner is just extremely nice! We will return.

Definitely request a second floor (top floor) room, it was like the people above us were constantly getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom, or in circles. It appeared that all guests were older adults. Really strange, but very annoying and noisy during the evening, and early in the morning. First thought was economical floor/ceiling construction with no...

Our group of 28 bicyclists stays here every year for two nights. The service is very good, the rooms are clean, and we had a great patio area for gathering as a group. Some rooms have refrigerators and/or patios. Coffee and muffins in the morning is included. Jackie, the owner, was easy to work with!
