A pleasant break from the big hotel chains. We were met at check-in by a very helpful and friendly woman at the front desk. Our room checked all the boxes - clean, quiet and comfortable. The free breakfast was an added benefit. Would stay here again.

I lived in this 2 star hotel in the beginning of June 2023. Enjoyed my sleep on the medium-soft mattress with no- memory foam pillows, although excellent to support my neck and very comfortable. Entire room + bathroom is very clean, everything works. I didn't have much clothes, so the absence of wardrobe with shelves didn't bother me, just the hangers were enough for me. Have my money with me constantly, didn't expect to see seif here. Have my crackers and some fruits that don't need heating, don't expect to see microwave or toaster here. I am very content with what I have in my room. Bring your eyeshades because the blackout curtains let some light in. The hotel is in walking distance from Vermilion Falls - 5 min to entrance, Froth and Cream and Art Centre - 25 min to walk, Historic downtown - 35 min to walk. On car just 5 -7 min. Some chain restaurants are couple min walking from me. The hotel is located on active and noisy street, but good quality windows are blocking the noise. Breakfast is modest , if you like panckakes, liquid eggs, cereal and that sort of meal - it's right at your alley. Don't forget to explore downtown for some authentic restaurant. The Manager is a welcoming and kind lady. If my opinion changes during the next several days, I shall definitely update my review.

This facility is scrupulously clean, unfailingly pleasant and conveniently located. The woman who assisted me with placing my reservation was friendly and accommodating. From the helpful and pleasant front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff who honored my request to leave a project on my room desk alone when attending to my room, this was about the nicest stay I’ve had in lodgings within this price range. Everything in the rooms worked well, beds were comfortable, and there were adequate lamps with both outlets and USB charger stations in the base. The complimentary breakfast included options to make your own omelets, make your own waffles, cereals, juices, fresh fruit, read and bagels for toasting and more. All in all, I would never hesitate to refer a friend to the Nichols Inn, Hastings.

Great little hotel in Hastings. Made a last minute trip to Red Wing and found that all their rooms were booked, found this place online. Comfortable rooms. The breakfast was a bit lacking in the morning, but I also got there 10 minutes before it was over. They've got a pool & hot tub too, nice perk. Extremely friendly staff. Beds were comfortable, pillows were okay.

The Inn is conveniently located, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is fine, the staff very polite. My objection was the black mold around the tub, something that doesn't just appear between cleanings and should've been repaired before it reached the state as we found it. Also, the AC unit was objectionably loud, making for a very disruptive night.

We stayed here two nights. The staff was very helpful, kind to kids. My husband keeps hotel rooms cold, so I always need an extra blanket...that and extra towels were provided promptly and with a smile! They can’t have their usual breakfast if omelets and waffles because of covid but they did have single serving cold stuff. I would stay here again. I am picky, towels and other linens were white and super clean. Price was great.

We spent two nights at the Nicholls Inn in Hastings, MN for a hockey tournament. Our whole team stayed at the hotel. The hotel is located pretty much across the street from the hotel. The hotel was clean and well kept. There is a pool and hot tub area that is clean. The complimentary breakfast was okay. I would stay here again.
