My husband and I stayed at the Rosewood Inn for one night as a mini getaway from the chaos of life and parenting. I looked long and hard for a Bed and Breakfast that seemed to be the best and I definitely found a good one!! If you just want a basic review I’ll give you the basics and then...

Breakfast was awesome. The owners (Dick and Pam) were great hosts- the details they add are well done. Little confusing finding- mix-up on address- make sure you go to B&B and not the Condos.

Relaxing, beautiful spot in Hastings! The breakfast was outstanding and the cookie jar was always full. The room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable, and the fireplace welcoming. We will be back!

We visited the Classic Rosewood Inn last summer for our anniversary and were thrilled with our experience. This one-time Victorian home/hospital is brimming with character from the porches to the tall picture windows. Pam and her staff were prompt and welcoming throughout our entire stay and provided cookies, tea and ice cream snacks into the night for late arrivals like...

Over the years, we've stayed at the Rosewood twice. We also booked the entire Thorwood Inn when it was run as a B&B. The owners/inkeepers, Pam and Dick Thorson, continue to provide the same wonderful service we experienced on our first visit years ago. Our whole inn booking of the Thorwood was to celebrate our parent's 50th anniversary. Our mother...

We stayed at this peaceful retreat just before Christmas to escape the hustle and bustle of the season. We were warmly greeted and welcomed to this beautiful mansion. It was quiet and peaceful. Pam upgraded us to the Mississippi room and we were VERY comfortable! It is a fan static room and we enjoyed the warm fireplace while soaking in...

We received this as a gift for our 10th Anniversary. The place is a little out of the way from where we normally would travel so I was apprehensive at first. But after my first call to Pam I felt very comfortable. When we arrived I felt like we were the only somebody's in the world. She welcomed us, brought...

This was my second visit to Rosewood. I was very excited to come back. This time I was with my sisters. Instead of the romantic weekend I had with my husband the first time, this was more of a knitting marathon with lots of laughs. We ate well and laughed often. We had a different breakfast each morning (delicious.) We...

We stayed at the Rosewood Inn for one night in November of 2011. Overall, it was very relaxing. We stayed in the Spring Lake Room. While the wallpaper was very dark, we enjoyed the fireplace on a snowy evening. There was no shower in our room, only a bathtub. I didn't even think to ask about that before arriving. The...

Our goal is our guests’ happiness! So to begin, we are so very sorry we were not available for an unplanned early check in. I might mention most inns have an 11 AM.check-out time. Ours is “noonish”. Our experience (28 years) has proven that most of our guests do not want to leave and giving them this extra hour away...

I was fortunate enough to spend a whole week by myself at this amazing Bed and Breakfast. The Classic Rosewood is the longest running single-owner B&B in the state and it shows! They have everything covered. Want to know what's good to eat in town? They've got full menus on hand. Need a place to keep your bike? Not a...

“Mississippi Under the Stars was where we spent our wedding night!”

“There are 7 rooms in the hotel. 4 on the second floor and 3 on the top floor. The St. Croix, Rebecca, Spring Lake, and Vermillion rooms are all on the second floor. They are slightly smaller but provide more than ample space to enjoy your time. Additionally; they all have jet hot tubs! On the third floor is the Solarium (the room we stayed in), the Cove, and the Mississippi room. The Cove was booked when we were looking for the rooms, but it was my favorite (we had a chance to tour all of the rooms before any other guests arrived). Cove and Solarium have great jet hot tubs as well. The Mississippi room is the largest and has an antique copper tub (which is very cool looking) but the hot tub in this room is not working (it is leaking). So if a hot tub is a must you should skip this room. Also most of the fireplaces are WOOD burning which means that you won't have a fire in the summer (but why would you want to!?)”
