This hotel is very nice and has spectular views of Duluth lighthouses and Lake Superior from the room balconies (if you are on the backside of the hotel). The room had a nice seating area and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. The views are the best!!!!

The general manager needs to lose her job. Worst customer service by far. She is rude and needs to find a new job. Would never stay at this hotel again. Over priced for terrible service. Janelle should be fired

We had a group of fifteen traveling to the upper Midwest for Snowshoe Nationals, and we wanted to spend our final night in Duluth to reconnect with one of our former students. I stayed at the same location eleven years ago and I recalled a pleasant experience at a very convenient location. The front desk staff, rooms and amenities were all excellent from arrival to departure. We enjoyed great weather for walking along the shore and getting to the aquarium and other destinations. We will likely return when we can.

I mostly stay at Choice hotel properties and know them well. This is one of the really good ones. Everything from the front desk staff (very friendly and helpful) to the rooms was top notch. Perhaps I could ding them a half star for corridors that could use new carpet, but it's a minor complaint. Excellent wifi, and the rooms are insanely huge. The location is the thing here - you can walk out your door of your lake-facing room and be on the lake walk in about 30 seconds, and the entire canal park neighborhood is right there, walking distance. Minute or so and you're at the lift bridge. Couple of minutes and you're at the restaurants. Just nothing to complain about here. Yes, it's pricey, but given this is a tourist heavy area with likely a limited tourist season as I expect this location has some staggeringly brutal winters, it's understandable. Highly, highly recommended.

The hotel had NO Covid procedures. The room was dull and musty. The only good things were the location-right next to the lift bridge- and the laundry machines. It looks nice from the outside but is a different story inside. That seems to be a pattern with Choice hotels.

This hotel is in a great location on canal Park st. It has wonderful view from the patio, the bridge and light house is in view and the lake view from out there was beautiful. Wonderful to spend time out there. The hotel is lovely and the room clean and comfortable. The handicap bathroom had roll in shower high toilet, the bed was a little tall but still manageable. In all wonderful stay.

We recently stayed two nights, and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so polite and friendly from the time we booked the stay to the time we checked out. Front desk, ladies who serve the breakfast and even the guy who vacuums the halls are all super friendly and say hi and ask how your day is going. Our room was ready when we checked in and it was very clean. The property seemed adequately staffed as nothing was lacking, not something I can say about their neighboring property where we heard nothing but excuses. We had a balcony, book early if you want one. The beds are comfortable and the shower has great water pressure. We will definitely stay there again! Thank you!

We have stayed here for visits the last few years. Clean rooms, good beds, Good complimentary breakfast, eggs, sausage, doughnuts, waffles etc. Great location on Canal park. Book early for a lakeview. At checkout I did mention a couple of small maintenance items that needed attention at check out, which I suspect was corrected and did not impact our stay. At time of check in (3 pm) our room was not ready. I suspect due to workforces not returning post covid as many businesses are experiencing. This was not a issue for us, since we had shopping to do. Would stay here again.

We had one-night stays at the beginning and end of our trip (North Shore and Ely between). The first time we had a view of the two lighthouses which was very charming, and the second time our room faced the parking lot and Canal Park. The hotel has an upscale feel and we liked it very much. The front desk staff were thorough and helpful. Because of COVID-19, they took our breakfast order the day before and it was ready to pick up at the time we specified. They offered everything that would normally be on their buffet including hot scrambled eggs and sausage. We picked it up and ate in the dining room which looks out at the Lakewalk. Hotel staff poured the drinks (coffee, juice, milk) to avoid guests touching all that. This hotel is very close to the Aerial Lift Bridge and you can easily walk to everything in Canal Park.
