Refused service to a retired disabled military member because he has a certified service dog. Denies ADA and the manger is rude and disrespectful. Tried to tell them that his own dog was a emotional support dog not a service dog since he has PTSD not diabetic.

We have been here before but typically stay at the Pelican Bay townhomes which are beautiful, quiet, with a lovely view of the lake - I would give those units 5 stars. Unfortunately this visit we stayed in High Village which is not nearly the caliber. The room is like a hotel room directly overlooking the indoor pool, very noisy until 11:00 when the pool closes. No outside view at all. It is also poorly kept, with bare spots on the carpet in some places and duck tape in others. The furniture is so worn, thank goodness we didn’t have anyone sleeping on the pull-out couch, it was uncomfortable to sit on so I can’t imagine trying to sleep on it. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because on the plus side the staff are very customer oriented, friendly, and the room is very clean. They also provide an abundance of linens so you never worry about running low. In my opinion this building is simply horribly outdated and needs a total overhaul, perhaps even a tear-down and rebuild.

The whole reason we booked the Pelican Lakes Motel was for the pool as AmericInn was fully booked. We get there and not only is the pool NOT located at the motel but the pool was closed for two weeks as they were re-painting it. NO one notified us about this and this is a major point of the stay. The website is misleading - has two pictures of the motel (one being the motel itself and one being the pool) which you would assume would be at the location. Check-in is about a block away which is where the pool/gym are. The wi-fi in the motel is NOT secure also. If we would have known about the pool, we would have stayed closer to where our purpose for being there was. Incredibly disappointing. We stayed in 909, heat doesn't turn off (turned it to 40 degrees and it still came on) had to sleep with windows open. The TV in the king bedroom didn't work and the one in the living area didn't have HD status so everything is scewed and stretched making it irritating to watch. I know I paid $80/night and "you get what you paid for" but we really didn't if you take out the pool/tv. The only reason I didn't leave one star is because of the price we paid and the fridge worked. There are SO many other places to stay that are way nicer - go somewhere else!

We are in the High Village. It is our first time here and most likely the last. I can't help but wonder if we are in the crappy area, surely the entire resort cannot be this run down. The restaurant, coffee ship, etc all were nice. First thing you notice coming in through the underground garage is the absolutely filthy door, carpeting and walls. What a bad first impression. It would not take much to paint and clean that area up. The room is spacious and could be quite nice if given a good scrubbing. Remove the stain covered chair. I covered the furniture up with linen I found in the closet. Knotty pine walls need a deep cleaning. There was a unpleasant odor in the air so I had the balcony door open frequently and bought room fragrances. The hot tub is disgusting. The tile felt slime covered, visible dirt all around the edges and what looked like mold. I wouldn't touch it but if it isn't mold it must be dirt. Yuck. Won't be going in again. Didn't bother with the pool. Disappointed

Hello, My sons and I stayed in one of the lake front condos for one night. The room was a 1 bedroom, queen with a sofa sleeper in the living room. We were in the area for a mountain bike race that my son was competing in, and needless to say, a good night's rest was critical! When I went to make up the sofa sleeper for him to sleep on, I unfolded the bed to find that the mattress was wet. And not damp....wet. I immediately called the front desk, and they indicated that maintenance would come "look at it." Maintenance took so long to come to the room that I ended up sending my son to bed in the bedroom with plans for my other son and I to sleep on the sleeper sofa (assuming that maintenance would be bringing a replacement mattress). Maintenance arrived without a replacement mattress...felt the bed and said, "yep, it's wet!" No solution was offered. When I asked for a solution, they had nothing. I ended up folding the couch back up and having my other son sleep on that while I slept on the floor. I just try not to think about what else was on the couch or floor considering the state that the mattress was in..... Also, the son who slept in the actual bed said it was the most uncomfortable bed he had ever slept in (and he has slept on many sofa sleepers). So I guess I'm not optimistic that even the sleeper sofa would've been much better than the floor anyway. The view was great. The pool areas where so chlorinated that we all felt our lungs burning after 5 minutes. Facilities were extremely outdated.
