This is a lovely three story hotel with ample off street parking. Landscaping is nice and the Grand Traverse Bay is right out the back door. Rooms are spacious and our third-floor room had a small balcony with a view of the bay. Beds are comfortable, the facilities are up to date, and the staff is helpful. The hotel has... More

The Bayshore was clean, the staff friendly & the views were beautiful but the decor is very dated & the beds are horribly uncomfortable. We booked on a color tour weekend & paid premium pricing, our night before at a hotel that was $200 less was expensive had beds that were more comfortable. Price does not always equal better quality......

We've stayed here for the past 3 times we've gone to Traverse City. We booked it on a whim and we've been returning every year since! Being from Florida, we don't get to sleep with the windows open too often. So, when we visit each Fall, we love the fact that we can sleep with the balancy door open and... More

The hotel staff is extremely friendly and efficient. We visited the front desk several times, spoke with different personnel and it was always the same excellent service. The room was clean and pretty. The beds were awesome. Breakfast has the usual offerings and is very good. I was impressed how fast the kitchen staff worked to keep up with the... More

Several weeks ago, my wife and I visited the Traverse City, MI area for a family wedding. Many of the friends and families stayed at the Bayshore Resort due to it's convenience to the wedding venue. We arrived earlier than their recommended check-in time, but they were very accommodating and found us rooms nice rooms. Though ours overlooked the parking... More

We stayed for two nights. Great room, small balcony with view of the lake, good service and very helpful staff at the front desk. Spacious lobby with coffee always available. Breakfast was provided and better than usual at most hotels--- with fresh fruit, omelets, bread, pastries, good coffee, ect. I short walk to downtown where there a lots of restaurants... More

This hotel was really wonderful. It was a bit dated which is the only downside(other than the taste of the lobby coffee...). It was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly! We didn't partake in breakfast because it was very busy and cramped but it looked decent. The hotel is an easy walk to downtown, which we enjoyed... More

Not impressed. Wanted ground floor waterfront, ended up with overpriced second floor waterfront. Which was ground floor street side. No TV remote in room, free breakfast was nothing special, and no military rate. Since they were close to full, they were price gouging. Only stayed because we were tired and didn't want to look anymore. View was nice, but couldn't... More

Thank you for sharing feedback about our hotel. We do have ground floor rooms, which we call "Bayfront Walk-Out" rooms. We only have a handful of these and they are usually in high demand and book up early. If you were to book ahead next time, you can ask specifically for one of these rooms. I do apologize that our... Of course you always pay an arm & a leg to stay in Traverse City, though for the price we paid I was expecting a lot more. The third floor smelled like my old dorm room and the view from our room was ehhh. The breakfast was included and pretty good, a lot better than most in the area. Overall....the... More

We were on our way to another property we had found on line when we passed the Bayshore. It was much more appealing from the outside then where we were considering, and we found a solid price on line.
