Our stay at Bayshore Resort was the perfect weekend getaway. The view from our room was incredible with the bay as clear as glass in the morning and beautiful ripples at night during sun set. The beach outside our room was clear and very well maintained. Highly recommend booking one of their suites for the enormous jacuzzi tub and the best view on the strip! Bayshore is located just a touch further than the main strip of shops and restaurants so it’s great for a little exercise along the water before picking up coffee or treats downtown.

The breakfast offerings at the hotel is wonderful and best of all free! I love that they offered Almond milk alternatives and hard boiled eggs. Great start each morning! Their complimentary coffee is also really, really tasty.

With COVID restrictions and limits in overnight cleanings, we were thankful for the number of towels supplied and that the Front Desk was able to provide us with extras as needed.

The staff was so friendly and helpful in providing suggestions for what to do with our long weekend.

We will definitely be back! Thank you for a memorable stay.

We stayed at the Bayshore Resort over the July 4th weekend, and had an absolutely lovely stay. The staff is constantly cleaning the beach side entrance, and the beach itself. Jet ski, paddle board, and kayak rental are on site, and they are friendly too. The view of the bay is gorgeous and I never felt like it was crowded. I had two random requests (a corkscrew and earplugs), and the front desk had both! The complimentary grab and go breakfast was well stocked and Covid appropriate. We walked to one end of Front Street, and probably would have walked further if it wasn't so hot. Our group included three teenage girls, who had fun on the beach and in the pool, and I felt they were very safe on their own on the property. The hotel is privately owned and it shows in their care of the guests' stay and experience. I would definitely recommend it to friends!

We have stayed at Bayshore numerous times now, and each time we have an excellent experience. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. The lobby and common areas were recently updated which makes the experience even better than before.
The location is convenient and close to downtown, plus the convenience of shuttles for easier travel to local destinations like the casino. The beach front rooms provide gorgeous sunsets and a feeling of serenity that comes from the gentle tides rolling in.
I would highly recommend this hotel to all my riends and family considering a trip to Traverse City.
We will ABSOLUTELY be staying here again in the future. Thanks Bayshore staff!

Liked the location and the rooms were fine if a bit dated. The beach is a huge plus and why we booked. I get that working in a pandemic is less than ideal, but most of us are adjusting as best as we can. I even get the decision not to have daily maid service. I get the breakfast service decision. But generally speaking, staff needs to at least pretend to be more accommodating or at least interested in doing their jobs. The entire time we were there we felt like they considered guests a necessary nuisance. We were quiet, respectful guests who asked for very little: Towels once, and plastic cups a few times. When my wife asked for cups, you would have sworn she was demanding their finest crystal. Not always, but on occasion asking for breakfast felt like being a prison inmate. The front desk staff was very young and desperately in need of adult training and supervision. They never greeted guests walking in, didn’t even look up. No one asked how our stay was. This is basic hospitality. When paying more than $300 per day, I’d expect far better service.

Just want to let everybody know I had the worst experience in this hotel/resort.
first of all they charge me $442 for one night for a suite I Booked earlier and not what I expected
It’s supposed to be top notch but when I went in the rooms is the worst rooms ever these rooms they’re not been remodeled since 20 years not worth the money that I paid
so I was really disappointed with this hotel the shower is old and it’s very small It’s barely fits one person.
Also the soap and the shower gel they don’t smell good at all I didn’t even use them
So if you think you’re gonna have Fun and a good experience with this hotel don’t that’s just what I went through personally.
The only good thing about this hotel is the staff they were very nice that’s all nothing else
I do not recommend this hotel/resort at all thank you

The Bayshore is such a special place. My husband and I went for a 3 night getaway, much of which was spent in the pool and hot tub. The temperature of each was perfect. The lobby has a freezer full of perfect individual size Moomers ice cream cups, so take a few bucks down to the pool with you and grab a treat on your way back to your room.

The staff was great. Really friendly and helpful on a phone call prior to arrival, and always terrific at the desk. There's a shuttle you can take to a downtown restaurant so you can grab a beer and not have to drive. Plus, we didn't know where it was. That was a nice plus. It seemed like every time we went out in the building, someone was cleaning something. The place seemed well kept up, and very clean, including the pool. The shuttle driver told me that he drains the hot tub, cleans it and refills it daily. Two thumbs up for that.

The room is really clean and comfortable. We had no trouble sleeping, other than a thunderstorm making us jump up.

The only thing we could say as a possible improvement would be to place a microwave area on each floor. We were on the 3rd floor and the only microwave is on the beach floor, so we'd have to carry our items up and down 4 floors, which could get heavy/awkward/messy/cold. There were tables in that area, so you could eat there, but we wanted to watch the Tigers game while we ate, so didn't end up using the area. A microwave in each room would really be a big plus.

Well definitely be back.

Our family of 4 (2 adults-2 children) recently spent 2 nights at the Bayshore Resort as a mini getaway after the New Year. We stayed in a bay view room with 2 queens and jacuzzi tub. We were very pleased overall! Our kids absolutely loved playing in the pool which was clean and big (compared to a typical hotel pool). The property was nicely kept, rooms were quiet, view of the bay was wonderful, and the breakfast was good (hot and cold items). The staff was helpful and understanding when we had an issue (we forgot a gift certificate for the hotel stay at home). We look forward to coming back, maybe in the summer so we can use the beach!!

One of the few hotels on the waterfront with a beach, could use updating but not bad overall. You’re paying for the location. Staff was very accommodating and friendly but NONE wore masks during peak Covid-19... not housekeeping or front desk or even maintenance man who had to enter our room. The only mask we saw in four days was on the woman offering food at the “grab n go” breakfast. Masks and social distancing were non-existent so if that concerns you, this is not the place for your stay.

I love the Bayshore Resort. It is always clean. The pool and hot tub are in great shape and always working. The view of the bay is spectacular. Prices are mostly reasonable although they do go up quite a bit during heavy tourism times.

· The hotel and the room were clean and comfortable. The bedding & towels were clean and new. There was a table and two chairs so we could eat our meals in the room. There isn't a desk, but the table worked. Breakfast was served by a staff member through a breakfast room window. We could have anything we wanted from the display. There were muffins, cold cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cookies, and biscuits. My favorite part was the delicious coffee flavors. The best being the Macadamia Nut Blend. Yum! The resort was right on the lake. If the weather was nice it would have been great to eat outside or sit in the sun. But you can't expect that in October! There was a nice clean indoor pool, but we didn't use it. Since the hotel was obviously not full, an upgrade to one of the MANY rooms with a view would have been really special. I use to work at the front desk of a local hotel when I was in college. It was our policy to assign our best rooms to our guests no matter what level they booked, so as to exceed their expectations when we could. I don't understand why that's not done universally. It takes just as much effort to check out and clean the best rooms as well as the average ones. Juat sayin'.
