This is my second time staying at Anchor Inn on the Bay, first in September 2013, second May 19-21, 2017. The owner was very accommodating and friendly to our group. We did not have any problems with our stay. The first time I stayed I accidentally locked us out of our cabin (oops)...the owner was not on premises but was...

My wife and I stayed at the Anchor Inn from Saturday, May 13th to Monday, May 15th, 2017, and we loved it! Some particulars that stick out: 1. The large, wood-paneled room with a cozy (and warmth-providing) wood-stove-styled fireplace in the corner. We were upgraded to this room, by the way, so that was super nice. 2. The cozy little...

We have stayed here several times because it is clean and the owners are very nice and accommodating, and it is affordable. The cottages and motel rooms are very cozy and a nice size, beds are comfortable. The grounds are keep up and there is lots of space for kids to play. You have your own grill, picnic table and...

Worse place I have ever seen. Nothing like any of the pictures on your site or theirs. We took one look and refused to stay.. The place offers nothing as they advertise He charged me anyway for the two nights and I could not tell anyone else was staying there.. I don't know who wrote the great reviews. We found...

Quite a harsh review for someone who spent all of 10 minutes on our property. The pictures on our website and on this site are very representative of our Inn and many on this site were posted by our guests, many of whom return year after year. Everything we advertise on our website is available at the Inn. We are...

Older motel/cabin resort, we stayed in a one bedroom cabin, Not modern but clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The beach is across the road and a little bit of a hike. We would stay again.

Pleasant surprise. Yes - the room and shower was small, but not a problem overall. The atmosphere is quaint - not modern if that's what you are looking for. The bed was comfortable and clean, there were all the amenities you need - including real wine glasses and corkscrew in each room. Very quiet and peaceful. Woke up early and...

Overall I would have say that I enjoyed my stay at Anchor Inn on the Bay. The owners are extremely nice, the property has a small, private beach right across the street and the property is cute. The corners of the rooms were a bit dusty and some of the furnishings need to be replaced but the "cottage" we stayed...

Lock-Man65, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the kind comments. Also, thank you for voicing your concerns. We had an unique opportunity to spend two nights here and were pleasantly surprised. When I reserved, the person I spoke with told me that the room would be small as it was the only one left for those evenings. That didnt matter to me and it was inexpensive by Traverse City standards. Our experience was great even staying in...

We enjoyed our stay at Anchor Inn and loved the at home feel! Private beach access across a road was great! We spent time there everyday and loved having the beach to ourselves. The water was very clean and only up to 4ft deep for 100 yards out! Great for kids, kayaking, floating, etc! Wear water shoes to make the...

We had a great experience at the Anchor Inn By the Bay. Our two bed room was clean, surprisingly roomy and the beds were comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed including a large table and chairs. The kitchenette was stocked, the room was quiet and the grounds were exploding with flowers. The staff was so friendly -- I...
