My husband and I just checked out of the Village Inn on our way up to the Houghton/Hancock area. Gail was spunky and welcoming, the room was very clean and had all the basics. We stayed in one of the balcony rooms with a view of the lake. Location is terrific within walking distance of downtown shops. The morning traffic...

Easy check in and out. The room was clean. Kids loved the balcony room. We were lucky to be there on a Saturday night when St. Ignace had fireworks in the harbor. Restaurant downstairs served delicious food.

Worked for Marriott for 40 years and always stayed at a Marriott but last night we stayed here and it was 100% top quality. The manager and staff are the greatest? Super food at the restaurant also. You will be happy you tried it.

The hotel on top of the village inn bar and restaurant is one of my favourite hotels to stay in. They are very clean and cozy. Very nice having the restaurant bar downstairs! Never have to drive anywhere and you also have a great view of the harbour.

Stopped here after a long day of driving. Basic room, not too expensive, coffee and muffins in the morning. The pink sheets were a surprise. Nice hot shower. They even offer towels for cleaning. Friendly staff that are very helpful.

I had to be in the area for 2 days in order to speak at a church. Being a missionary, I am on a very tight budget. I was having trouble finding a hotel under $80 when I came across the Village Inn. I was visiting during the winter so regular rooms were $45 and the balcony rooms were $55....

My car broke down just south of the bridge and there weren't any auto shops open on the weekend. I ended up staying at the Village Inn, and I couldn't have been happier that it happened at that location and that I spent a few nights there. Unbelievably well-priced rooms for the size and amenities: incredibly clean, extremely welcoming staff,...

By the time we reached St. Ignace, second week of October, most of the crowds were gone, and there were plenty of cheap available rooms in town. We chose Village Inn because I'd read the good reviews. We were able to grab one of the view rooms for $50.00, with tax. The room was clean, the view was great. We...

We stayed at the village inn for the bridge walk. For the price it was well worth every dollar! Great location & good food. My only suggestion would be to have mini microwave/fridge's in the rooms. I will definitely stay here again!

Okay, I get the TripAdvisorites always give credit to a bargain. I'm often that way myself. But this place is over-rated. Pros: Very inexpensive ($65 in early September) Air-conditioned Adequate wifi Adquately clean (not sparkling by any means) Cons: Beds not very comfortable (too hard for me) Old-fashioned tv Second floor walk-up with your luggage Hard to use doorkey If...
