We stopped at the Village Inn for a late lunch on Sunday, March 22, 2015. We asked to see the rooms just to see what we thought about staying there. We took a room that gave us a view of the lake. The price was the winter price but it was excellent. The Inn was decorated much as you might...

Reaonably priced. We stay here often en route to and from the Lower Peninsula. Homey, polite staff, clean rooms, always good food. Not fancy. Rooms are plain but comfortable. There are four front rooms facing the road and water, each with a balcony for an extra charge. We usually book those. A diner about three blocks down the street offers good...

This place is packed every time we go there. We will keep going back, the staff is great, and the food is really good, and they have a nice menu selection. While you're waiting for food, you can always entertain the kids in the back room arcade, LOL, spend a few bucks for some wonderful plastic junk, the kids love...

This was our second time staying here. Both times we've booked a jacuzzi room. The rooms are fairly small but they're cute and cozy, no frills but you really can't beat the rates and the location. The staff are great! Always very friendly and helpful. And the food is awesome too!

Stayed here on way home from golf trip & stay was decent. Price was fair and room had nice view of Lake Huron, although I only stayed the one night & really didn't see much since it's past end of season up here. Still, nice view on balcony to sit & just look out at Mackinac Island in the distance....

The Village Inn provided us with two excellent dinners. It is a very plain atmosphere, to say the least, but all are very friendly. On the first night we gave it a try by having a salad and a chicken breast sandwich and both of which were very good. On the second night I increased the ante and had their...

Staying here was like going back in time. To check in you have to go into the restaurant and talk to a waitress. Then you park in the back where, because of the slope of the property, you can directly enter the second floor hallway where the rooms are located. Our room had an old-fashioned TV so if you must...

Stopped 2 nights while on road trip. The Village Inn had a homely feel and had a decent bar and restaurant. Free coffee was available 24/7 however you did have to set up the coffee maker, no big deal. Hot muffins served at 8.30 am every morning and they were delicious. The room rates were excellent and the Hydro-Foil ferry...

We stayed here for two nights and booked two balcony rooms. Unfortunately one of the reservations got misplaced, so we only had one balcony room the first night. The management gave us a discount because of the mix-up. The balcony rooms are huge and have a great view of the lake and towards Mackinac Island. There are chairs out on...

Since there don't appear to be any chain restaurants in St. Ignace (exception to fast food), we decided to try eating out here one night for dinner. Initial inspection of the place upon arrival - half locals and half tourists, the place was tidy but didn't feel overly sanitary. Staff was nice, welcoming and polite. Food - My husband ordered...
