The rooms were clean and comfortable. They included a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We were less than 10 minutes from downtown Saginaw and about 20 minutes from the Frankenmuth and Birch Run area. We will definitely stay here again when we are visiting the area.

Pleasantly surprised. No frills quaint place. Clean & quiet. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was small but adequate. Step going into room was a bit high. Nice to know they do have pet friendly rooms if needed.

This is your typical very basic motel. I’m must admit that I was expecting a little more than this after reading the reviews a few days earlier. On the upside was the pleasant greeting at the front desk and the clean bedding. The carpet was recently changed, too. However, the beds and furniture are dated. The bathroom is tiny and has an old style walk-in shower with tiled floor that looked grungy. We decided not to shower because of it. You just don’t see showers like this in good hotels or motels. I feel bad, but that’s why I gave this place 3 stars. Three stars is being generous. We were in room 17. Maybe the other rooms are better. We won’t return.

Made the reservation with Franny in June and no email confirmation, just a number. Totally forgot we got a new credit card so forgot to update it until right before we were to leave. Called and Franny was ready to update it. They called the day of our arrival to confirm our ETA. Check in was fast and simple. There was three of us and only two bath towels in the room. They brought one out right away. Very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and quiet. The parking lot was full. Great country setting, south of Saginaw. Rates were awesome. Parking right outside of the door. It had a screen door for fresh air. Microwave and fridge.

I’ve stayed at Relax Inn a bunch of times over the years and it’s always been good if not great. The location is a bit out of the way but I like that. It’s quiet at night and easy to sleep. Always lots of parking space and the rooms I’ve stayed in have always been clean. It’s a family run place and a very good one. Stay here to save and have a safe, quiet rest.

This is my favorite hotel for overnight visits to Frankenmuth and Birch Run as it’s very cheap and always clean. The area is quite and the only drawback are the size of the rooms which are small but ok for two people on a short stay.

This lodging facility was REALLY clean. I even looked in the corners--ALL of them--and there was no dust or other dirt in them. It was a redone older place, so it easily could have been overlooked as a possibility. We were very comfortable here, even though the furniture, etc., wasn't all up-to-date. The thermostatic air conditioner/heater looked old, but it did a superb job keeping our room at an even, comfortable temperature at a steady sound-level. The white noise made it so that we did not hear much traffic on the highway outside our door (and we were the closest room to the highway), and we also did not hear the unit cycle on and off. You can't say that about some of the big-name lodging options! The room came with a mini-fridge and a microwave, along with a table and 2 chairs. The king bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. Even though we used the log-on for the internet, it never worked more than a few seconds for us. We didn't contact the owners about it, since it wasn't a huge deal for us, but it might make a difference for some guests. Also, there was no iron/ironing board in the room.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 young boys for a mini vacation recently. The rooms are very small but they are exceptionally clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. There is no breakfast included however there is a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room. The location is fantastic. It is really quiet with not much but farm around it however it is a short drive to Saginaw, Birch Run and Frankenmuth. There is so much to do in Saginaw for our children that we didn't venture too far from the area. Motel is minutes from the zoo, children's museum and amazing splash park. Price is fantastic and the owners are extremely friendly and quick to help. We would stay here again if we come back to this area of Michigan again.

I wish there were more little hotels all over America like this one. The place is small, but it's clean and isolated (by farm land). I think it's a great option if staying in Frankenmuth or Birch Run are either too far or too expensive. Excellence option.
