It’s a shame that ownership does not understand that when they inconvenience customers to the point that they have with their renovation here, to charge two dollars per bottle of water upon check in for aspire elite customers is unacceptable. After circling the property twice, I parked in the back and had to ask construction workers where check-in was, as their signage was indistinguishable. In the IHG app it says that their pool is now open, it is - with a giant plywood board over what used to be the Jacuzzi. The gym was clean and well equipped, that is why I gave them two stars. My room was not so clean or well-equipped, hairs in the bathroom, fingerprints on surfaces, windows not clean. No table in front of the sofa, One singular Keurig coffee capsule in the room. Don’t expect to see me again.…
We walked into our room to find that the entry light was not working and a washcloth on the floor. The couch was so sunken in at the back that it was unusable. The bathroom looked like it was not cleaned completely. The bath mat was balled up on the side of the tub. The toilet seat was up. There was no extra toilet paper. We were given only two towels. The little lotions and soaps were lacking. I went down to see about another room, but there were no other similar rooms. We were in a two queen suite, as we were traveling with our adult daughter. I told them about the light and they said maintenance would come up. They never did. I called about the towels, but they were all in the wash. I called three times before we got towels. When I called for more toilet paper, it was brought up right away.…

We stayed here over the weekend as a family in a 2 queen bed suite. I would say this is a party hotel based on the shape the rooms were in. Our sofa literally should have been thrown out - just looking at it you could see the cushions were totally slanted backwards, to the point my parents could barely get out of it. The lampshade had holes and kept falling off because the mechanism at the top was broken. There was a chunk missing from the corner of the table, and the dresser had seen better days. When we checked in someone was asking for towels, and they said they didn't have any more clean. Eggs were burnt at breakfast (like they just looked BAD), and the water in the "hot water" canister was room temperature. When I asked the breakfast attendant if she could assist, she simply came back and told me it 'was full'. I know it's full, but it's cold and that doesn't make hot tea well sadly. I would have shared this information when checking out if the woman working had asked how my stay was (you know, how they do at basically EVERY OTHER HOTEL), she didn't ask. So obviously didn't seem to care. I also tried submitting feedback through Holiday Inn's website first, but that was not a user friendly experience either. Also worth nothing our room was not an isolated incident, my sister stayed in a standard two queen room and said there furniture was all quite beat up as well. And she and another family said they were up until 2 am because of children running the halls.…
Moldy room, hallway at 1030pm smelled like straight up mold, had a huge team staying the night there took up the entire lobby seating with their pizza and snacks, whipping balls in the pool hit our one year old in the head, no where to sit in the morning for breakfast because the team was already in there taking the whole place up. Stay here only if you have a team, you will be catered. If your staying with family choose somewhere else. First room they gave us smelled like they were covering up smoke and the window unit was filled with mold (room 301) second room still had mold all in the bathroom. Need an exhaust fan in there. We just buried our son on Thursday and wanted a little getaway but this was far from enjoyable.
We recently were in Saginaw for a long weekend of family activities. The holiday in express is a little bit older and probably could use a little bit of updating. The rooms are big and very very clean it’s centrally located the morning breakfast was hot and plentiful. And of course the cost was right where it should be for the area in the hotel. All in all a very good value
Ok, first off the Title....We stayed at this Holiday Inn for a funeral and stayed a total of 4 nights. The actual motel overall was nice and well equipped. HOWEVER!!!!, we stayed poolside and were so excited to jump in hot tub and pool....much to our surprise, the hot tub was AWEFUL! I really considered buying some bullion, noodles, carrots and chicken to make soup it was soooo HOT! Ive stayed at several resorts, motels and such and have never come across a hot tub that actually burned you as you sat in it. When we asked front desk if they could lower it just a tad (along with several other guests) we were told nobody had a key for it. Much to our dismay they really didnt care too much about it. Normally the hot tub seems to be in the higher 90's to 110 max. I actually recorded it at 139 degrees via a thermometer I bought at store. Now Im not a pool guy, but 139 is way too hot! Anyways, housekeeping staff, front desk and other employees were very friendly and helpful, except with hot tub, and I would stay here again, hopefully for different circumstances and hopefully a normal hot tub…
We stayed here because it was far more affordable than Frankenmuth, but still conveniently located. I’m so glad we did. It was a nice escape from the tourist crazy area. It was nice and clean, with ample well-lit parking. They were also nice enough to assign us a pool-facing room, which was great, and I can imagine would be super awesome for a family with kids. If we were in the area we’d stay again.
Friend and I just spent holiday weekend. We wanted someplace to scrapbook. Booked a suite and had loads of room. We set up 2 six foot tables. It was great. Nice to go down to pool/hot tub to get the kinks out. All the employees here are very nice and always willing to do what it takes to make your stay wonderful. It was quiet. The breakfast was bountiful. The beds and pillows are super nice. My friend said best sleep she’s ever had at a hotel.
Spire Ambassador member. Hotel was clean, convenient to restaurants, and the Highway along with Saginaw Valley State. Would not stay for more than a day or two though. Front desk was fast and friendly. The hotel is a little tough to find as it is pushed off the road and entered by a service road. Very easy to miss. There's a Tony's restaurant close by for breakfast/dinner and a couple other sit down restaurants. Room was large but in need of renovation. Beds were very hard by my standards and uncomfortable. Coffee was typical IHG coffee which is very weak and of poor taste. Also only had one creamer pack which was a bit annoying.
