We loved this motel. It's in a great spot, right near the pier which you can walk out on, also near the marina and close enough to walk downtown. The rooms are clean and well appointed though not modern. The owner and staff were very friendly.

Took the grandkids, a friend and her son. Great for families. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Nice pool and great private beach. We stayed in a room with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms. Worked out great with the kids. Within walking distance to everything. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely spot right on Lake Huron, private beach and pool. It is a smaller motel with a variety of different room types. This is a family run business, and everyone I met was helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and you can see that they are doing lots of work to continue to improve the motel. I am already...

This is a cute little 50's style motel in beautiful Port Austin. Glen the owner is so welcoming. The motel has many new updates. The beach was wonderful with a fire pit so you can stargaze and watch beautiful sunsets over the bay. Very nice pool area. The motel is very well kept. Will be coming here again.

We stayed here for two nights. The room is clean and spacious. The location is great. The beach was literally outside our door. However, some basic amenities were missing....an alarm clock, our even just a clock in the room....Kleenex....extra toilet paper, especially since there was no maid service, and a hair dryer. For the $$ that we spent, I don't...

Great Value even though the room was a little dated. Very clean. Newly painted with microwave, refrigerator and WiiFii, air cond. in room. Windows provide good air flow with screened patio doors. Private clean beach with chairs available for viewing the lake and adjoining public beach. Short distance to breakwall and marina. Restaurants, stores and pubs are within walking distance. The...

Excellent updated room all around. Absolutely perfect location. You truly can't get closer to both, town and water. Beach is clean and water is clear. Great service. Grills and firepit. It's so clear a lot of love went into this place. Great remodel.

The Beachcomber has a great view of the lake and sunsets. It has a nice clean private beach right next to the public beach. The lake was clean and not stony, so it was pleasant to walk out for a swim. New owners took over this summer and replaced all the carpeting and the rooms, towels and blankets were all...

Not a 5 star resort, but Port Austin doesn't have any of those. Great value. Private beach. Easy walk to breakwall and marina. Easy walk to any eating place in town. Owners Glenn, Jill, and Gary made sure the room and everything else was great. Thanks for a great stay.

Checked a few places in town on an overnite getaway. Beachcomber looked ok. Talked to the manager/owner, she offered to show us a room and we learned she/they have been renovating since they purchased earlier this year. It's not as nice as it's going to be, but good enuf. Good bathroom & shower. Decent bed. And clean and convenient. A...

“Pack a Hair Dryer & cell phone. Rooms 1-10 face the park (10 has window to the lake as well.), Opposite rooms are right on top of another motel so your view is of the Beachcomber pool. Making the assumption that Room 20 on that side also has a lake view.”
