Excellent roadside motel with Lake Superior 40 feet from our room door ! Don, the manager (owner?) was friendly and really helpful in helping us find a good place to eat during our one night stay. Although older, it's very well kept up and if in the area again we'll definitely stay here again. The sunset over Lake Superior was...

only stayed here one night and we arrived late. The owners left our key taped to the door and were very nice when we spoke to them in the morning. They gave us ideas of what to see while we were there. We stayed in room 7 (I think) which was on the end closest to the water. Cute mom...

Mom and pop business - they are both friendly and help with travel plans if you need them. Rooms were mostly clean, but but motel was outdated. Air conditioning worked well. You can borrow a kayak for free if you are looking to gp out on the water, they offer kid sand toys as well. We werent expecting much -...

We stayed for 3 nights in cabin 8. While it does have a new stove, a fairly new fridge, and all the kitchen equipment you need, it is SMALL. It definitely looks larger on the website pics. Not an easy place to lounge in and relax. So if you're planning on being out most of the time, you will be...

My wife and I made reservations for us, our daughter, 3 grandchildren, and a pet dog. On the way upstate to pick up our grandchildren, we received the call letting us know they had double booked our rooms. The second folks reserving our rooms were given them, they were there 1st. We were told "sorry", with no alternative plan offered....

We have been staying here the last two weeks in July for several years and a few times in October. Don and Linda are magnificent hosts. This is not a fancy place - it is a warm, welcoming and comfortable place. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. Our dog loves it here too. One of the highlights of staying...

The resort is located between Ontonagon and Porcupine Mountain State Park so it makes a good staging ground for hiking in one direction and places to eat in the other. The rooms are super-clean and the buildings are well-maintained. The shore is a very inviting and comfortable place to sit and enjoy the lake - sunsets, waves crashing on the...

We rented the Lake house next to Superior Shores - who manage the rental. They were great! When we checked in Linda made sure we had some books to review what we could do in the area. Very nice and helpful. The Lake house smelled and looked like your great grandpa's cottage :) Very dated, but very clean. Had a...

The staff was wonderful, helpful, and accommodating at this pleasing little set of cabins (and motel) just outside the Porcupine Wilderness. Some cabins are more updated than others, but it is a folksy, clean place on a beautiful slice of lakeshore. We even used the kayaks for a great evening experience. It has everything you need as long as you...

Superior Shores is definitely nothing fancy. The buildings are quite old, but clean and functional. The location is what we loved. We were 15 ft or so from the lake shore. We sat at the table in the morning looking out at Lake Superior. The wifi was great, although there were very few people there at the time. It was...
