We spent a week at the beautiful Chateau La Cour recently. It far exceeded our expectations and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We took the self-catering option and stayed in the luxurious Le Jardin apartment. The apartment was beautifully furnished to the very highest standards and the views were stunning. David and Lesley were wonderful hosts and we had...

We recently stayed for 5 days at the beautiful Chateau La Cour for the World Equestrian Games,. We had been looking forwrad to this for nearly 12 months and despite the disapointment of the actual WEG because of the lack of facilities and poor organisation we had the most wonderful time due entirley to David and Lesley who are the...

We spent several days at this fabulous B&B. It would be hard to imagine more painstaking hosts, from the beautifully presented breakfast repast with everything locally sourced, to the amazing dinner cooked by Lesley, (which would evoke praise even if served in a top restaurant). The standard of appointment in the bedroom and house as a whole could not be...

We recently stayed for a three night break at La Cour and had a fabulous time despite some truly dreadful weather! Lesley and David are brilliant hosts. We arrived cold and wet (and very late) after a gruelling motorbike journey and were welcomed so warmly into their lovely home. Lesley had kindly saved our meal and we joined the other...

La Cour is a wonderful place to stay and relax. Leslie and David are brilliant hosts and will do everything they can to accommodate your needs. The rooms are lovely and always comfortable, and the food is simply devine. The dining room is stunning and always a great place to chat to guests over wonderful food. Pre dinner drinks are...

We have just been back to Chateau La Cour for what must be our ninth or tenth visit, and it was just as delightful as ever. Lesley and David are charming and remarkable hosts – they enjoy their guests, and take pleasure in making sure that everyone is comfortable and having a good time. They are also talented cooks, both...

We concur with the high praise given to Lesley and David for the wonderful B&B they run at Chateau La Lour. The home and grounds are beautiful, with great attention to every detail. The bedroom (upper floor suite, in our case) was lovely and comfortable, with a glorious view. The daily breakfasts, dinner (4 courses) and supper (3 courses) we...

Thank you very much for your review. It's good to hear that you enjoyed the Suisse Normande as much as we do and that you hope to revisit the area in the future.

It's difficult to add to the remarks made by other visitors - this is simply a wonderful place to stay, thanks to the excellence of Lesley and David and the work they have put into the chateau. We have stayed a couple of times, most recently in September 2012, but have only just got round to adding a Tripadvisor review....

If you don’t have an enthusiasm for food this is not the place for you. Book into a chain hotel. The owners of Chateau la Cour are passionate about food and if you respond with a similar passion they become even more passionate. Lesley and David, have invested time, money and effort into getting their food offer to a top...

Thank you, your comments are very much appreciated. Our hobby is sourcing, preparing and eating good food so it's not difficult to be enthusiastic about it!

If someone says “hotel” we understand that they may mean something quite basic where you can stay for £50 a night, or they may mean something really top end where you could add a couple of noughts to that. However when we talk about B&B I think of chintzy cottages and keen but sometimes amateurish hosts. But I need to...
