This was my second shooting weekend visit to Chateau de Villette. Our first visit 5 years ago had left us with excellent memories of the location, accommodation and sport so it was genuinely a treat to find it was even better now. Set in the beautiful Burgundy countryside de Villette provided accommodation for the 9 couples that were in our... More

Chateau de Villette is the perfect getaway in the Burgundy region within the Morvan Natural Park. The beautifully renovated authentic Chateau appears to have come straight out of an interior magazine. I have had the pleasure of staying at Villette twice and I am already looking forward to my next stay. I have once stayed in the family suite and... More

This is a well restored property full of charm, located in a most enchanting corner of Burgundy. We had a spacious room with a very good bed. To our surprise, the place is also well isolated - we heard nothing of other people in the house. Breakfast is very good and rich. A wonderful place to be and to stay... More

We had a very short visit (1 night, arriving late) but Catherine was incredibly accommodating, everything was there that we needed and the room was even more beautiful than imagined. Breakfast was so special and we wish we could have stayed longer!

This was my favorite place we stayed during our vacation to France (and we stayed at the Park Hyatt and Waldorf Astoria, so this is saying something)! The chateau is impeccably decorated, the service was beyond reproach, and the relaxed atmosphere made our stay feel like a dream. I plan to return!

We stayed here for a two night weekend while I was having cancer therapy in Germany. The owners a Belgian woman and Dutch guy are such elegant, cultural people. The chateau is full of history. Some Germans were stationed here for WWII and they completely damaged the beautiful tiled floor after they lost the war. The couple who own this... More

Our group occupied the entire chateau plus I actually occupied the Escargot Suite which is in a detached building. I loved our accommodations. It was autumn with a chill in the air and we had a wood fire in our stove. Our host were terrific. Coen was the hunt and wine master. Catherine was the cuisine guide and my dinner... More

My three sons and I returned to the Chateau for the second time this year. We were here principally for the hunting -- which was extraordinary -- but if we had just wandered around and enjoyed the great hospitality, it would have been a great visit. If anything, the food was even better than last year -- every meal. I... More

Charming, welcoming, elegant and relaxed sums it up for us. Set in a beautiful and quiet area, this was a fabulous first stop on a family adventure around France and it ticked all the boxes for our family of five. We took our hosts recommendations on evening dinning, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the chateau.

Our first thought, as we turned into the long driveway that led up the hill to the chateau, was that this place should probably be in a movie. But we're glad it hasn't been (not yet anyway), since it means we'll have the chance to come back. In other words, Chauteau de Villette is incredible. From the stunning grounds, to... More
