The room was unexpectedly large – more of a suite – with a raised bedroom area, sitting room area, large bathroom (with bath and shower), and private courtyard garden with its own bathtub! The breakfasts were very good, with lots of fresh fruit. Our hosts...More

How were you able to make the reservation for this place? My boyfriend and I are visiting Japan next month and wanted to visit the Yaeyama Islands. Taketomi is one of the islands we wanted to see and spend the night, but most of the inns/B&Bs require you to call to make a reservation. As we are not that fluent in Japanese, and Taketomi is such a small, rustic island, we've been having trouble trying to find a place to stay that had online/English translation reservation available.
