Pool here is lovely and clean. Viewing area at the waterhole is quite small. It is a busy camping area but there is grass which is nice. We had Jackals visit our tent area. We did short drives to other waterholes from here.

It was great to arrive here after a long day's drive and we were pleased it was a spacious camp and didn't feel crowded. Showers and toilets weren't very clean though especially in the morning when they were full of insects!

Rooms and bathroom are huge. Having a shower here is so much better than at Okaukuejo, where the bathroom floor do not become wet and slippery. Of course the food and service is better at Okaukuejo. Waterhole here does not have much animal activity compare to Okaukuejo.

We went from Galton Gate to Okaukuejo in one day, travelling to Namutoni on the second and leaving the park on the third. Namutoni is great for people leaving the eastern gate, but we preferred the Okaukuejo camp so much more. We didn't see any wildlife at the waterhole. Staff is very friendly and campingspots are nice. The chudop waterhole...

And the amazing thing was that we were told it was the 'off season'. Yet there appeared to be hundreds of people milling around everywhere. I was told that during the busy time of year the camp can get so overcrowded that there is virtually no space to even walk inside! Shame because i loved the watering hole and seating...

We watched the sunset across the plain from the top of the fort. The camp site was nothing to distinguish itself except hyenas on the look out for food scraps at night. Well placed for a quick exit of the park in the morning. The showers were hot.

Very similar to the other campsites at Etosha, again good ablution blocks and laundry facilities. Make sure you bring a plug for the laundry sinks! You have to pay for the wifi (50 Namibian dollars for 150 MB) and the wifi voucher from Halali campsite also worked in Namutoni: at the pool and the restaurant. Good electricity, small shop, own...

You probably would not want to spent more than a single night at Namutoni, since it is located at the Easternmost edge of Etosha, only about 10 km from the Von Lindequist entrance gate. However, the camp is very convenient for a first night in the Park when arriving from that side - or as a last stop-over before leaving....

I stayed here for 2 nights during my Exodus overlanding camping trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. There is a waterhole here but is not as well lit at night as the one at Okaukuejo camp site. Having said that, it is a lot quieter at night and the facilities are better as a result. There are plenty of...

After having read about staying in the park, our family stayed 2 nights outside and just one at Namutoni. However we were pleasantly surprised there. The costs are very reasonable. The chalets were really nice: comfortable, with interesting bathrooms and good air conditioning (important in summer). The restaurant buffet was efficient and the food good. Having not been able to...
